SECLUDED GROUP GETAWAYS

If you're looking for a bit more seclusion, we have additional groupings of vacation rentals that are located farther out in the mountains surrounding Asheville and Black Mountain.

Sweet Retreat and Sterling Retreat are located on one gravel road in the rustic mountain community of High Rock Acres about 15 minutes from Black Mountain.

Laurel Ridge

High Haven, Orchard Knob, Laurel Ridge Retreat are just a short drive from each other in another gated mountain community called Laurel Ridge with exceptional views.

Gateway Mountain Community

The Gateway Mountain community is a secluded, beautiful development with sweeping mountain views, a private lake, and even its own waterfall. The development is located in Old Fort, North Carolina, just 20 to 25 minutes from Black Mountain and 35 to 40 minutes from Asheville.

Sweetwood Lodge, Grandview Lodge, Timber Hideaway, and Hummingbirds’ Mountain Retreat are all located along the same road in the community. Want to enjoy a short, mountain walk? Consider Black Bear Summit and See Level (approximately 0.5 miles) or Christmas Tree Cabin and Heaven’s Point (less than 200 feet). Dancing Bears Cabin, Lazy Moose, and Havencrest are other nearby homes within the development that are just a quick drive from one another.

Montreat Area

The Montreat area is another great option for large groups as many of the homes are walkable to each other, and it's ideal for hiking and exploring with its wonderful playground, meandering creek, tennis courts, and small pond. Some of our favorite options for groups in Montreat are as follows:
