French for the "house of dreams," Maison Reve is a beautiful townhouse in the Village of Cheshire in Black Mountain. Two-level living with a private entrance and front porch that overlooks green space. Sit in the living room and enjoy the ambiance of the gas fireplace or soak in the wonderful master bathtub. Minutes from all of the shops and restaurants of downtown Black Mountain. Within walking distance of the Cheshire Fitness Club which offers a pool, gym, and tennis courts.

House Layout:
Main floor- Kitchen; Dining area with seating for 4; Living room with gas logs fireplace, and TV (cable & DVD); Primary bedroom with King bed, en suite bath (walk-in shower & soaking tub), and Cable TV.
Upstairs- Bedroom with Queen bed; Bedroom with Double bed; Full hall bath with shower & tub combo.

For your convenience linens (sheets and towels) are included. Monthly special from January through April: rent for $2995 per month. Included with the monthly rent is a $100 per month power allowance, a $50 water allowance, and a $50 natural gas allowance.

Mason Reve met our needs. Plenty of space for a family visit. Garage door was a bit difficult to open with remote and kitchen utensils could be updated. We love the location and enjoyed our stay.

Well-Named Townhouse

Fantastic location and layout. Very roomy and nicely furnished. Comfortable beds and linens. Plenty of large towels. Modern appliances, smart TV with Spectrum cable as well as ability to access various apps, including YouTube and many of my subscriptions (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) The private garage is definitely a plus, although there was no remote control for the garage door (access from the outside is via code pad on the garage door, so you have to exit the car to open it). Garbage pickup was simple: on Thursday, you take the container to the curb at Emerson and Poe, and they return the container to just outside your garage. Huge Ingles grocery store literally a 2-minute drive away, along with lots of Black Mountain restaurants, and a couple of on-site restaurants that were very popular and featured outside dining. Keyless access was very convenient with checkout using text messsages. Greybeard communication was informative, seamless, and responsive. The dishwasher leaked pretty badly the first time I used it, but I called the maintenance number and the tech was there within 10 minutes. The problem was that I used a dishwasher pods provided by the property management, and the tech said that the water in Black Mountain is too soft to accommodate them, since they generated too much suds which caused the overflow. I subsequently used dry Cascade powder with no issues. The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean, although the dining room table needed a quick wipe-down, as did the front porch. We enjoyed the porch immensely. Curbside parking was adequate for up to two cars and the garage made loading and unloading extremely convenient. I will definitely be returning!

Nice space with plenty of amenities. We esp enjoyed the location, being able to walk to the commercial strip for food and drinks.

The location. Also really happy to have some essentials when we got there. Nothing worse than getting to a place and having nothing to get by until you get to the store.

This home has everything you need. Comfortable beds, a cozy fireplace, a wonderful porch, and a kitchen with your essentials. Great place, very comfortable and conveniently located. Look forward to a return visit.

The townhouse is perfect for the two of us with the occasional visitors. All the main living space is on the first floor and there are 2 guest bedrooms and a full bath upstairs. I loved hanging out on the porch across from the babbling brook. The location is so convenient with easy access to I-40 and downtown Black Mountain in addition to the restaurants and grocery store located in the village itself.

The townhome was clean and spacious. Villages of Cheshire is a charming community with beautiful homes to look at as you walk through the community and is convenient to tasty restaurants. Loved being able to sit on the front porch and read. Everyone was very friendly. Also loved that our friends could rent houses in the same community so we could all visit but stay as socially distant as possible.

House is situated on one floor to accommodate my disabled husband's needs. We also love the Village of Cheshire and its proximity to Asheville.

This is our second stay in Maison Reve. We love the house.. One small negative is that there is only one working TV in the house with no ability to record or pause (we get so spoiled to modern technology). When grandchildren are visiting it would have been nice to have the TV in the master bedroom working and perhaps DVR capability. Otherwise, this is a well equipped rental with beautiful furnishings and every kitchen gadget one could imagine. Cheshire is a great village with restaurants, a deli and more. We will be back.

We loved this two story condo! With a flat entry through the garage and a master on main, it was the ideal choice for my husband who walks with a cane. The house is well located in the desirable Village of Cheshire, and near all of the Asheville attractions. We’ll definitely return!

The home is in a great location and it was clean, comfortable and has a homey feel. There is also a one car garage which was great for the cold and snow. Loved walking to the restaurants down the street! Chesire is a really fun location.

It was in a gorgeous little enclave of very cool homes.
Also loved that there was a small market and restaurant right there.

Lovely 3 bedroom townhouse, great location. Lots of amenities in Cheshire village, fitness center, artisan store and e restaurants. Very close to black mountain center. While the buildings and grounds of Cheshire village are pristine, Maison is on need of some refreshing. Could be cleaner. Fresh paint on walls and deep cleaning would spruce that up. Still a nice rental if you can overlook that for the price.

Home was lovely,, updated and clean and a pleasurable place to unwind after a busy day. Location is great. Nice quiet neighborhood, but close to downtown Black Mt. and a short, easy drive into Asheville. Mornings and nights sitting by the gas fireplace a real bonus!

Lovely home in a very unique setting of arts and crafts styled homes in Chesire Village. A short walk to 2 restaurants and a wine and coffee bar. Short drive into Black Mountain.
Home had beautiful fireplace to sit by. We enjoyed morning coffee and evening wine in front of it.
A tranquil retreat.

FAQs

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Maison Reve is located in Black Mountain. This home is approximately 5 minutes to downtown Black Mountain and approximately 20 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY?

Maison Reve is not “pet friendly”. Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Maison Reve has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months. 

Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Maison Reve. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
