The NC Governor has declared April North Carolina Beer Month, and Asheville is the place to celebrate the occasion. For four straight years, Asheville has been named Beer City USA. Come on up to see what all the fuss is about.

With 18 craft breweries along w numerous beer bars and hop farms, the Asheville area is well-positioned to help visitors mark the celebratory month. Be sure to check out the Thirsty Monk Pub, a nationally recognized beer hot spot. In addition to its pubs and breweries, the city also has a couple of unique ways to maneuver around to sample the area offerings. Sign up for a Pubcycle Tour, as described in our recent blog, and pedal your way from site to site. For another option, try a Brews Cruise and visit several breweries on one tour. As the North Carolina Beer Month website indicates, Highland Brewing is celebrating its 20th anniversary in April and is having a scotch ale release to celebrate.

There really isn’t a bad time to visit Asheville, but we think NC Beer Month could be a very special time to head up this way. Come sample some of the local craft brews and take in the fantastic spring festivities. Be sure to check out Greybeard Rentals if you need a place to stay while you’re here.
