This beautiful Ridgecrest lodge is perfect for large family gatherings. Featuring 9 bedrooms, 4 full baths, and 2 1/2 baths there's plenty of space for everyone in your family to feel right at home. Located just 7 minutes to Black Mountain and 25 minutes to Asheville, Sanjema Lodge is conveniently located to delicious restaurants, local shops, hiking, and more!

House layout: Main floor- Enter an enclosed sun porch into a large living room with gas fireplace; large well-equipped kitchen also has an island with 2 chairs; dining room with seating for 12; powder room/ half bath near the dining area; bedroom ONE with a double bed and a full bath (shower only). Upstairs left wing (above the kitchen)- washer/ dryer; bedroom TWO with queen bed; bedrooms THREE AND FOUR with full beds; bedroom FIVE with two twins; a shared hall bathroom (tub/shower combo). Upstairs right-wing- bedroom SEVEN with a king bed; full hall bath; bedroom EIGHT with a double, a twin and a half bath (decorative tub is not connected to water and can't be used); bedroom NINE with a full bed. Downstairs- a den with gas logs and a TV (cable and WiFi included); bedroom SIX with a queen and a spacious en suite bath (shower only), including a second washer/dryer. There is parking for six cars.

Please Note: Sanjema Lodge sits above Camp Ridgecrest and during June and July you will hear the bugle call in the morning and you might hear taps played at 9pm. Also, I-40 travels near the property. When leaves fall off the trees you could occasionally hear traffic.

Lovely , spacious home. Close to everything. We enjoyed our visit. Plenty of room to spread out. There were those of us that enjoyed the closed in front porch area. Great spot for family game night. There were others that enjoyed the big living room with the fire place. Either watching TV or relaxing reading their book. When it came time to eat, we had the ones that like to cook having a ball in the huge kitchen. They wish they had a kitchen like this one. I will return one day for a family event.

Every thing amazing but you have to improve the lighting in some of the bedroom and fix the showers in the bathroom of the second floor that are outside of the bedrooms.

Our family of 13 had a wonderful time for Thanksgiving week. The house was spotless clean, and the kitchen was well stocked for big cooking. Location was perfect to explore Asheville, Black Mountain and other areas. Highly recommend this house for big family reunions.

This cabin was perfect for our 13 person group. We had more than enough space in the cabin to spread out and the main room was large enough for us to all be together. The location was awesome and we felt very secluded but were only a few minutes from Black Mountain that had great restaurants and shops. We would 100% recommend this cabin!

Sanjema Lodge has sooo much space for a large family gathering! Porches galore. Every pot and pan you could ever need. We will definitely be returning!

This place was great! So much room to spread out. Everyone had their personal space and there was plenty of room to gather and visit.

the house is lovely and was exceptionally clean. having the extra room was great. each family unit had their own wing. Renee Raines, agent, was wonderfully helpful.

I could'nt be MORE HAPPY that we chose Sanjema Lodge & Grey Beard Realty for our annual get together to celebrate my birthday and Christmas with my family! The house was just as described, even better! We had 15 in total and everything from the kitchen, large family rooms to the bedrooms & baths were just PERFECT! We had a family gathering at Sanjema Lodge and it was just the perfect place to all be together. What a wonderful house! It was clean and well equipped. Very peaceful and large enough for you to find a quiet porch our corner to read even with a house full. Lovely!

We stayed at Sanjema for a family vacation that included 12 of us. There was plenty of room for us with 9 bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with china and pots and pans for a large family. The public areas were comfortable. The outdoor walkways are overgrown and need an application of Roundup.

We stayed at Sanjema Lodge for a family reunion the week after Christmas. The home is perfect for large groups as there are plenty of bedrooms and space to spread out as well as rooms large enough to all be together! The home was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items that we needed during our stay. Sanjema Lodge is located very close to the delightful town of Black Mountain and just down the interstate from Asheville. Our group also went snow tubing at Wolf Ridge which was only about 40 minutes away. The managers as well as owners were wonderful to work with. (We had trouble with the gas logs and they sent Maintenance right over to solve the problem...which turned out just to be a battery!)
We would certainly recommend Sanjema Lodge and hope we are able to stay there again in the future.

We had a wonderful time at Sanjema Lodge for our family reunion! Nestled in the mountains,this beautiful home was very spacious and had areas for cozy coffee times with cousins as well as room for large group family game time gatherings. Greybeard Realty was so responsive to all our requests; they truly provided excellent customer service. The ladies at Greybeard felt like part of the family--thank you! Amazing House

This house is truly outstanding. We had more than enough space for 18 people. The house is absolutely beautiful with every amenity you can think of. The kitchen is beautiful. The dishwasher did break while we were there, but it has several so it didn't matter. Greybeard sent someone out immediately to try and fix it. The master is huge and great for preparation for a wedding (which is why we rented the home).

There were 10 of us and we all had a great time. Close to great food and drink. An easy drive to downtown Black Mountain and Asheville. Sanjema is a quick drive to some great hiking trails.

The house was simply magnificent! It was clean and very quiet - no squeeky floorboards or stairs - so even though some people were up early, others could still sleep without being disturbed. It had all of the amenities of home, including a fully stocked kitchen and two sets of washers and dryers to do laundry throughout our stay. The beautiful enclosed porches allowed for early morning and late evening places to relax, we even did so during a late afternoon thunder storm. The only recommendation I might make is that at least a second TV be added, in the master bedroom downstairs, so that anyone that needs to fall asleep to a TV, they have that option.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Sanjema Lodge is located in Black Mountain. This home is approximately 10 minutes to downtown Black Mountain and 30 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Sanjema Lodge is not “pet friendly”. Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

You will receive check-in instructions prior to your arrival with driving directions and key access information. You do not need to stop by our office to pick up your keys. You will go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months.

Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Sanjema Lodge. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
