Sit on the deck and enjoy the breathtaking view from Pearson Lane! Beautiful, house in a private neighborhood. Outdoor fire pit. Wood and tile floors throughout the home. A comfy and clean house that your family will love.

HOUSE LAYOUT: One level: kitchen/dining area, living room with electric fireplace TV console combo (the TV is 52 inches), master bedroom with king and full bath. The home is outfitted with two Smart TVs (streaming only). The 2nd bedroom also has a king bed. There is a full hall bath. Sheets and towels are INCLUDED for your convenience.

Parking is available for 3 cars. Pearson Lane is pet-friendly with an additional pet fee. Due to insurance regulations, there are certain breeds that are not permitted. We ARE NOT able to have the following breeds: Akila, Chow, American Staffordshire Terrier, Presa Canario, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Doberman Pinscher, Wolf Hybrid, or any dog that is a mix that includes one or more of the breeds listed above.

Beautiful View, Comfortable Home

My husband and I were thrilled with this house--it was exactly what we were hoping it would be. The driveway is somewhat steep, but this is extremely typical for houses in this area, and the elevation gives an incredible view of the valley. A delightful home, would recommend.

Very peaceful. Southern exposure of mountain top. Sunrise hits deck and illuminates mountain view very nicely. King beds very comfortable. Kitchen nicely equipped. Very easy and quick access to Black Mountain.

We love renting from Gray Beard Rental! The houses are always clean and well stocked with essentials. My family makes fun of me because I take my own sheets and towels when renting. I never removed them from my suit case during our stay at Pearson Lane. The sheets were soft, the towels were fluffy and the house was very clean. We enjoyed our stay and will always choose Gray Beard when renting in the future.

The house was very nice. It was well stocked and immaculately clean. The deck is great and completely gated for pets. The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice and very clean. Close to Ingles and the barbecue restaurant nearby was very good. The driveway is steep as mentioned in other reviews, but it wasn’t a problem. If your car sits low to the ground like mine, I recommend exiting on the left side of the driveway and entering on the same side. Once I figured that out, my car didn’t “drag bottom”. I only have one recommendation…there was a power outage about 10 pm one evening due to the weather that lasted about 12 hours. We found a flashlight but it didn’t have batteries and there was one candle. Therefore I would recommend spare batteries and extra candles. The office did give us another flashlight the next day, but luckily we didn’t need it. Overall, the property was great and I highly recommend it!

This is a great place tucked up a hill with beautiful view and a short drive from downtown Black Mountain. House is clean and spacious. Large kitchen with all the basics for cooking and grilling. Porch is gated. Massive tv and couch and large beds. We stayed here several times in the last few years and always found it comfortable and well kept.

Very nice home with a large, fully-gated deck that gives you an excellent view of the mountains. There were many days when it was so quiet that all you could hear were the birds chirping and the breeze blowing. The deck includes a large table, umbrella & chairs to enjoy outdoor meals, as well as other outdoor furniture to relax and take in the greenery. The home was clean and spacious for our needs. The living room features a large L-shaped couch with a large TV that includes Spectrum cable TV, streaming capabilities, and a DVD player; a suggestion for the living room would be to update the couch as it is uncomfortable in certain spots but acceptable to sit. Both bedrooms offered plenty of bed space and dressers to store your clothing. The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet with plenty of hangers to accommodate hanging your clothing. The master bathroom featured a large vanity and bathtub/shower; with plenty of hot water. We enjoyed the location in relation to the day trips we had planned during our 12-night stay. There are conveniences within 10 minutes, including grocery shopping and restaurants. Because this home is in the mountains, future visitors must be ready to drive up a long, uphill driveway. However, there is plenty of room to park your vehicle in a spot you feel is comfortable. This was the first time we rented a home for an extended period of time. Greybeard covered all of the bases when it came to the reservation, check-in, and checkout processes. We would definitely recommend this property management company for future stays, as well as the Pearson Lane home.

The location of the house on Pearson Lane was perfect! Minutes from downtown Black Mountain and short drive to Asheville. Within an hour of tons of waterfalls/hiking and shopping/restaurants. The house itself was comfortable, VERY well stocked with everything we may have needed and the mountain view was great. It was a little chilly during our visit, but the deck was awesome and would be a fantastic place to hang out and BBQ or relax with a book. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

This house is just perfect! It is super clean, spacious, and very well equipped. The kitchen was fully stocked with great pot, pans and cooking essentials. The deck was drenched in warm sunshine and allowed us to sit outside and take in the view even on chilly days. The location is super close to town but you feel a million miles away up on the mountain, it's everything you could want in a cozy mountain retreat. Greybeard was wonderful and made everything effortless. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be back!

Super charming cottage on a perfect perch in the mountains! Nothing fancy but very clean, nicely appointed and much more spacious than we anticipated. The small yard and fully gated deck area were perfect for hanging out with our small dog. The location is outstanding....convenient to every possible local destination. We managed to time our visit with one of the few snowfalls of the year (lol) and it was painfully obvious after a night of snowfall, the only thing missing from this property was a snow shovel! The main road in (Pearson Lane), however, was plowed as soon as the sun came up! Thanks for a great stay! We will definitely return!

The house is in a great neighborhood. It is very quiet. As my wife said you feel like you are in a tree house. We loved our stay here. The deck has a gate on both entrances which makes it great to have your dog on the deck with you. A lot of seating on the deck. The fire pit was great. We loved everything about this house.

Just minutes from downtown Black Mountain, this lovely Cottage is tucked away on the side of a mountain in a very peaceful setting. We enjoyed two weeks with friends visiting during the first week and another couple part of the second week. The house is perfect for two couples with two king size beds and two baths. We all enjoyed mornings and evenings on the expansive deck. It felt as though we were in a treehouse.

Great Black Mountain house in a quiet neighborhood clise to Ingles and Downtown Black Mountain. Getting to Asheville never took more than 20 minutes. Really enjoyed sitting on the front patio.

This location is about as good as you can get. The house is well cared for by the owner and Greybeard assured that it was very clean when we arrived. Looking over those mountains with a morning cup of coffee is really what a Black Mountain wake up call is all about. Dog walking areas are quite limited on this property however. We traveled with our elder big dog. She needs more exercise space than we had here and the steep driveway and community roads were too steep for her old legs to handle. So we had to walk her at Tomahawk Lake each morning and evening which was a slight inconvenience for us.

This is our second time using Greybeard and we could not have been happier. The house was perfect and actually more spacious than the pictures give it credit for. It is located very close to Black Mountain, but the property still has a secluded feel to it.

Excellent stay at the property. Fire wood is cut in the shed, very clean and had everything you would need. Being Pittsburgh fans is a plus! Oh, and that is what stars look like?!

Grocery store, small downtown with restaurants, everything for immediate needs is very convenient, 5 minutes away. Asheville and Biltmore are approximately 25 minutes away, but a straight shot.

The house was spacious with great views from inside and the big deck. Lots of room for our three grandkids to visit/sleep overnight. The place was set up with dogs in mind, which made it easy to accommodate our two small dogs. Small side yard with two tie-outs was perfect. Plenty of room for day visitors with space for buffet serving and lots of table seating inside and out. Six minutes to grocery store and dt Black Mountain; 25 mins to Asheville. Thought from other reviews the driveway would be scary, but it was no big deal. We would definitely stay here again.

Coming from the Gulf Coast, this house is nestled high above the road with a great open deck and view of the hills. The house has everything one needs for cooking, etc. It's close enough to Asheville if a visit is desired, but just staying in Black Mt and enjoying day hikes, the town and especially the house was all we needed. Highly recommended.

We rented the Pearson Lane property for a week, and brought our two Boxer dogs along for the vacation. Everyone was confortable and the dogs spent almost every weekday at Bed and Biscuit for daycare. Convenient to groceries and just a couple of miles from Black Mountain. Would definitely stay there again.

This was the perfect house for my husband and me, along with my parents. We also have two small dogs for which the location and features were ideal. Best stocked kitchen of any rental we've stayed in. Location was near enough to downtown Black Mountain, but \"away\" enough to feel like a mountain escape. We also drove to Asheville and thru the Blueridge Parkway one day - easily managed from this location. Highly recommend.

Beautiful View from Pearson Lane

I was wanting a good spot that was comfortable for my parents and my husband and I to stay. I found it here!! The driveway is intimidating but manageable. It is what you expect to see in the mountain region. 30 min. drive to Asheville but enjoyed Black Mtn. more!!!

This home was perfect for me, my husband and golden retriever. Close to Black Mountain, but still private and not far from all the attractions in Asheville. The house had everything we needed for our stay. The deck was fantastic. For two people from the Keweenaw, sitting on the deck and enjoying the sun on Thanksgiving was wonderful. Greybeard Rentals is great to work with. Would not hesitate renting from them again.

My wife and I stayed at the Pearson Road rental for a month. The home was very nice and comfortable, the mountain views beautiful, and the short drive into Black Mountain very convenient.

This home is so beautiful and really made our experience when we stay in Black Mountain. It's very well maintained, roomy, nicely decorated, and extremely comfortable. We really felt like we were in a home away from home! Greybeard Rentals was fantastic to work with as well! Everyone was very professional and truly seemed to care about making our stay as pleasant as possible! My husband and I will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Let's finish 1 item on Mom's bucket list. A month in the cool of the mountains. Great stay the driveway is tricky at first but then the challenge is to master it better every time you come and go. Beautifully stocked house with more comforts than we expected. The company addressed all issues immediately.The house has a spider issue but this was addresses with a solution to repair and rescue visitors. We were there during the hatching of the moths and butterflies over 50 species identified and lots of pictures which we will send later. Hope to return another summer.

We spent a week at this location and thoroughly enjoyed it. The house was very clean and comfortable. The large deck was a definite plus. We love the shops and restaurants in Black Mountain and the location of the property is just a short drive away. First time up the steep driveway was a bit intimidating, but even our small 4 cylinder car made it with no problems. We will not hesitate to use Greybeard's services again - they were very easy to work with and made us feel very welcome upon arrival.

Wonderful deck and mountain views. Enjoyed the peaceful setting without driving a long distance to restaurants and shopping. Easy commute to Biltnore, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure. Paved driveway steep, but not unusual for area.

We had a very nice stay at the home on Pearson Lane. Everything was clean and well organized. The house has a nice view from the deck. Only issue we had was getting the dishwasher to turn on at first. Later, we saw the directions on the side of the refrigerator that let us know to flip a switch on the wall to start the operation. Not a big deal. Everything else went very smoothly and we would recommend this rental to others.

157 Pearson was beyond what I expected. The house was spotless. The decor and the furnature were very peasant to the eyes and the furniture was very comfortable. I slept like a log in a very comfortable bed. People have commented on the driveway. Yes, it looked rather frightful when I first turned on to it. Once I went up and down, it wasn't an issue.

The home was well kept & all conveniences supplied.
The new deck gave a wonderful view of the maountains, altho the driveway was somewhat intimdating.(especially with a manuel shift car!
Blk Mountain is such a cute, relaxed town & since we'd been there before ,it was very comfortable.
We had stayed in another property neighborhood previously & actualy preferred that location.

Pearson Ln is very remote & secluded in a dense area.

A Great Getaway Cottage

We were looking for a 2br/2bath in a convenient and quiet location, and this cottage certainly met our expectations. An added plus was the lovely view. It is obvious that the owners spend time in their cottage (and who could blame then)and take pride in its condition. The kitchen is so well equipped, that we actually enjoyed cooking a couple of meals there. Ingles grocery store is only a 4 minute trip down the mountain. Downtown Black Mt is no more than 5 minutes away with some great little shops and some excellent restaurants. We especially enjoyed Louise's Kitchen for breakfast, Que Sera and the BMT Bistro for dinner, and the Veranda for lunch. I can only think of a couple of things that would make the cottage more comfortable. One would be to have a firmer mattress on the king size bed. The one that is there now is very soft. And the other is to have some way for guests in the 2nd bedroom to hang up their clothes. The owners keep the closet in that room locked. Some luggage racks would be helpful in both bedrooms. We had been made aware of the rather steep paved driveway up to the cottage, but were able to maneuver it with no problem. The walkway to the front door is in need of repair, but we understand that the owners have plans to address that issue. We definitely enjoyed our one week stay at Pearson Lane and look forward to returning for an even longer visit next year.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Pearson Lane is located in Black Mountain. This home is approximately a 10-minute drive to downtown Black Mountain and a 25-minute drive to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Pearson Lane is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Pearson Lane has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and select option 1, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE?

This home provides an outdoor fire pit. Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store. Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Pearson Lane. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
