Canopy Bliss is an Architect-designed cottage surrounded by rhododendrons with a creek at the base of the property. Perched along the mountainside and with lots of windows throughout, you'll feel like you're in a canopy of trees. Hardwood floors throughout this lovely, renovated, and professionally decorated home. Kick back, relax, and take in the views from one of two porches. Located in the tranquil community of Montreat, you're steps away from numerous hiking and biking trails and less than a 5-minute drive to Lake Susan and Montreat Conference Center. Grab dinner and groceries in downtown Black Mountain, which is less than 10 minutes away. Asheville and Biltmore Estate are also within half an hour's drive.

House Layout:
Main Level- open living, dining, and kitchen areas; living room with wood-burning fireplace; dining with table and seating for 10, along with kitchen bar with seating for 4; full kitchen with all basic amenities, including dishwasher and standard coffee maker; master bedroom with a king bed, a Smart TV (streaming only, no cable), and full bathroom.
Lower Level- second bedroom with a set of bunk beds and one single twin bed; Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower/tub combo shared between both bedrooms; third bedroom with a queen bed; downstairs den/rec room with 1 double sofa bed, 1 twin pullout chair, Smart TV (streaming only), games and puzzles.
Outdoors- Upper-level deck with rocking chairs; lower-level screened-in porch with a small bistro table and additional outdoor seating. Enjoy the trail loop that leads you to a stream, at the base of the property.

Please Note: Sheets and towels are provided for your convenience. This is a non-smoking home (no smoking inside OR outside this property). The cable is not available. Smart TVs offer guests streaming options (renters would log in to their personal accounts). A new heating and air system was installed in May 2021.

This house is so well designed. Windows across the back on the main floor. Large porch with rocking chairs on the main. Downstairs you have a large screened porch with table, couch and hanging chairs. I love having morning coffee on the upstairs porch and wine at night on the screened porch. Everything is newer and bright and fun. The kitchen is well equipped. It's nice to have the disposal and the dishwasher. I was just there in October and we enjoyed the fireplace every night. Seriously there's not a better place. Enjoy!

Overall

Canopy Bliss was perfect for our family. My only complaint is that the porches( where we spend lots of time) were not clean. Birds had nested on upstairs porch and therefore left much behind. The tables were deep in dirt and dust which we had to clean to be able to enjoy. I hope next year they will be cleaner.

We loved every second of our stay at Canopy Bliss! This is the 3rd property we've rented in Montreat and quickly became our new favorite. We can't wait to return! The location is fantastic with peaceful views, away from the hustle and bustle of Montreat in the summer. The interior is beautifully designed and decorated and added to the relaxation factor for our trip. Can't say enough good things about this home and the rental experience with Greybeard!

Walking into Canopy Bliss was amazing. The decor is so cute and makes you feel like you're home. Plenty of things provided to make our stay even better. The bottom level porch was our favorite for late night hangs. Can not wait to come back and enjoy Black Mountain again!

The beds were super comfy, the view was really nice, the kitchen was stocked with some extras, and we enjoyed some of their many board games. The short path behind the house is just a little bit steep, but leads to a charming stream in the woods. We bought fire logs and matches to make use of the fireplace as the A/C / heater was confusing and didn't work until we flipped the breaker off and back on again at the suggestion of maintenance. We almost gave up on the heater and called a hotel after having our kids sleep on the floor near the fireplace, but once the heat came on, we enjoyed the last 2 days of our stay. It is a lovely home, but keep in mind that you must park on the roadside above, and walk down stone stairs to the home. I found it to be charming, but I can imagine some visitors may want to be aware of that. I would recommend this rental.

My family and I love staying at Canopy bliss. It's so cozy and inviting. The home is beautiful and has always been clean. It has a gray layout and sleeps everyone comfortably. The scenery is fantastic and the local business are great. With a quick drive to Asheville too, there is so much to do- OR the home makes it great to stay in and enjoy the views! We will be back for sure.

You will not regret it. We absolutely LOVED this place! I can't say enough about how amazing our stay was. I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb's and this was hands down my favorite. We will definitely be booking this house again.

Very cozy place, modern but with a cabin feel. Felt like we were in a Twilight movie. Would recommend 100% and would def book again!

The amenities of the house. Beautifully decorated and spacious! It was nice to be in different rooms and rest with no noises, etc. We went with our kids and grandkids. it was great to play in the screened in porch and spent great family time there!

Beautiful home in the mountains of Montreat! Very clean and equipped with everything needed for a weekend getaway. Not too far up the mountain so easily accessible and still close enough to Asheville to enjoy everything. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxing trip!

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Canopy Bliss is located in Montreat. This home is approximately 7 minutes to Black Mountain, 20 minutes to Asheville, and 45 minutes to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Canopy Bliss is not “pet friendly”. Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival. Early check-in is not available during the summer conference season.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Canopy Bliss has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE?

This home does not have a firepit. Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store.

Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Canopy Bliss. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
