Built in 2015, this 1700 square ft mountain/rustic home is a 3 bedroom 2 full bath mountain retreat overlooking the town of Black Mountain. From the top deck, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains as well as a picturesque view of the town of Black Mountain. It doesn't get much better than this! After spending time exploring Black Mountain, taking a short trip into Asheville, or enjoying many of the outdoor activities the area has to offer, come back to your retreat and cozy up to an outdoor GAS fireplace located on the top deck overlooking the town or relax and unwind in our indoor hot tub/spa room great for any season of the year.

For your convenience/pleasure, there are two living spaces with a gas fireplace and TV/DVD combo on the second floor, and a recreational area complete with tabletop games, video games, and a spa/jacuzzi room. The master bedroom upstairs comes complete with a queen size bed and TV/DVD combo. The downstairs bedroom has a full-size bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds adjoining a den that has a Murphy bed for more sleeping options. Our cabin, Breath of Heaven, will be the place to rejuvenate, relax, and make new memories for you and your family. The VIEWS will have you coming back for years to come!!!

House Layout:
Main floor: kitchen (4 stools at the kitchen island for dining); living room with gas logs and TV; a bedroom with a queen bed and TV; a full bath (shower only, no tub); deck with outdoor gas logs, gas grill, and AMAZING views!
Downstairs: a bedroom with a full-size bed; a bedroom with 2 twins (walk through to a queen Murphy bed); a full hall bath; sun room with hot tub; den with TV.

Please Note: WE RECOMMEND first ARRIVAL DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS. There is a brief but very steep stint of the driveway that can be difficult to maneuver. However, it does not require AWD/4WD to do so. This home has a Ring doorbell camera. This rental has a 3-night minimum stay. Please be mindful of neighbors, as noise carries in the mountains.

Breath of Heaven was a great cabin for my family on Christmas. The cabin was stocked with all the amenities and with all the decorations for Christmas. My teenage boys loved having the downstairs to themselves with all the games. The hot tub and outdoor fireplace was definitely a bonus. The Greybeard team was amazing, no matter what obstacle that came our way or what questions we had the ladies in the office were wonderful, professional and most of all friendly. And for that we are grateful and will be back!

Great house, great views, great hot tub. The wonderful town of Black Mountain just a few minutes drive in to town. Greybeard Realty was also wonderful. Had a minor issue that was addressed in minutes and a repair done within an hour!! Would use Greybeard again and would stay in this house again.

This was our second visit to Black Mountain and renting Breath of Heaven. Not only is this rental absolutely beautiful, but Greybeard Rentals is a "top-notch" rental agency. They provide the utmost in communication from start to finish! The guest amenity bag they had waiting for us just showed they care about their clients and want to assure we have what we need. We highly recommend both Breath of Heaven and Greybeard Rentals for any trip to Black Mountain.

Lovely Home. Absolutely ASTOUNDING views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Breathtaking. The home was clean, all amenities worked. AC and fans great. Kitchen easy to use. Grill on porch was nice for burgers for sunset dinners. House location is 5 minutes from Black Mountain. 20 from AVL….so a great convenient location. Only reservation is the drive to the house gets a little sketchy at the end AND the driveway is INDEED VERY VERY STEEP. Not for the faint of heart! But there is another slightly less faint inducing entrance. But a LOVELY stay. We decided to forgo our last day hiking to just stay in the house and play games w the kids and eat on the porch watching the sunrise and sunset. WILL DEFINITELY return. Great place.

Most pleasant atmosphere both interior and exterior views. Hot tub was in a perfect location. We had one concern and the response was timely. Beautiful and I will return most definitely. Regarding our activities, ie; hiking and Biltmore our location couldn't have been better.

Being a repeat Greybeard renter I like how consistent the condition of the homes are upon arrival. This particular location had the view we were hoping for and the perk of an indoor hot tub.

The house was amazing and comfortable. I was so excited to walk in to Christmas decorations and a beautiful tree. The house was perfect for my husband and I and our two grown children. Lots of space to stretch out and relax. Loved the decks and hot tub.

We really enjoyed our time in Black Mountain. So much so we didn't even make it over to Asheville as planned. The view was amazing, the home was clean, well laid out and very nice. It was just my husband and I but feel it would have worked great for our whole family to have space as well. We didn't get to enjoy the outside space as much just due to weather but both decks have great views and nice options for rest and sharing time. The indoor hot tub was a highlight especially since the weather was more cloudy and cold. VERY steep but short driveway into the house. My only negative is you could hear 40 traffic - but all the positives greatly out weigh this. Very close to everything you need yet you feel miles away from it all when in the home.

The view was unreal. Best long range and best sunsets we ever saw. We also enjoyed the outdoor fireplace so we could extend our evenings in the fresh night air. The hot tub was the best we ever used at any cabin. Really romantic setup.

This was our second time vacationing in Black Mountain and the first time staying at this property. My family had a great time. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. There was space to spread out and we really enjoyed the hot tub. Being from Florida, we appreciated the mountain view and spent most of our time on the balcony. We will definitely be back next year. My daughter says she misses it already. As for Greybeard Rentals, they were quick to answer my texts and we always love the pumpkin bread they give us :)

We enjoyed truly everything. The house was just as it was pictured and even better. It was clean and had everything we needed. The decor was warm and inviting. The driveway is incredibly steep as was mentioned. We had no problems though. We booked this house primarily because of the outdoor gas fireplace. I have to admit, we were disappointed to find it was under repair. We loved the decks and the hot tub was amazing! Loved Asheville and Black Mountain!! Thank you to Greybeard Realty! So very easy to work with and so friendly. We will rent this house again!!

We loved the porches and spent a lot of time enjoying the cool breezes and spectacular views with beautiful sunsets. A separate living area downstairs gives extra room to spread out. Renting this house along with the house next door, Almost Bearadise, is a great option for a large family group.

We were able to check in on time, the cabin was the cleanest place I've ever stayed on vacation (and I am a germaphobe so that says a lot), everything was in working order and easy to use, etc.

Cabin was beautiful and immaculately clean. Everything you could possibly need for your stay is provided. The view from the porch is amazing, and a wonderful place to eat. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of room to spread out. Hot tub was wonderful with a great view as well!

The house is very nice, clean, updated and the view is amazing! Linens and kitchen items are provided which is very helpful. The hot tub is awesome as well, definitely a great feature! Close to town and a quick 15 minute drive to Asheville. Rental company was great and easy to work with.

I only have 1 con and that is the drive way. They do state the drive way is VERY steep and they were not kidding. It was a little scary going up and down the drive way. I think this alone will prevent me from staying at this house again, BUT if that does not bother you- this is a great house with an stunning view!

We loved our long weekend getaway at Breath of Heaven. It was perfect for our family - clean, cozy, well stocked. We took advantage of a trailhead not far from the cabin and made a day of hiking. Close proximity to Black Mountain was helpful for quick takeout. The kids enjoyed the games and the hot tub while my my husband and I enjoyed the fireplace and the sunsets. Great socially distant vacation.

It says it all, when you walk out onto the porch, it's breathtaking, truly. This is our first time seeing mountains and it couldn't have been a better experience. We will definitely be staying again in the years to come.

There are too many things to list. We have rented many homes in various areas of the Blue Ridge Mountains, but have never had a better view, location and overall experience - including when a family of deer casually wandered onto the lower part of the property, had "lunch" for 10 minutes and slowly wandered away. The house is isolated yet convenient to needs, the town is good for tourists yet not "touristy" - the home and the town have much to offer. Our family had no regrets.

The house was absolutely perfect for my family of 7 (all adults). It rained almost our entire vacation, but we didn't mind because that gave us an excuse to hang out on one of the two amazing covered porches, complete with comfie furniture and a fireplace, oh and let's not forget- a picturesque view. We would stay up way too late, enjoying visiting & playing games on that unforgettable porch. We are normally hot tub people, but only made it to the downstairs once to enjoy the beautiful spa room that housed the hot tub, because everyone gravitated to the upper porch with the fireplace. I had been concerned that this 1700 sq foot house wouldn't be big enough, but is was designed so well it seemed much larger, with PLENTY of room, and the 1,700 doesn't include the large porches. The house was like new, with beautiful decor and everything we needed. The sleeping accomodations were perfect for the 7 of us, and could have actually worked for 8 had there been a need. This house was just perfect!!

Our rental was wonderful; beautiful inside and out. The views and natural setting were exactly what we were hoping for. And the convenience to the town of Black Mountain was great too. The views were fantastic and the cabin was so clean and well appointed. The deck with the fireplace was a favorite morning place to enjoy our coffee and talk over the plans for the day. The hot tub was a good place to relax after a fun day of shopping or visiting the Biltmore mansion. The people at Greybeard was wonderful to work with and went out of their way to make us comfortable.

We were very pleased when we 1st walked into the cabin. Everything was top notch and very clean. The view was great. We spent almost all of our time out on the deck. We spent all our time on the outdoor deck enjoying the fire and the breathtaking views. The hot tub was amazing and much appreciated after our Spartan race!! A friend and I rented this house for the holiday weekend as a quiet, relaxing getaway. It definitely did not disappoint! The views are phenomenal and we loved hanging out in the back porch. (We spent almost the entire time lounging around on the deck!). I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of items like the cookware and thinks like the hot tub and TV on-demand were such nice extras! The adorable town of Black Mountain is just a few minutes away. We enjoyed the Dobra Tea House and the antique stores. Its also just a short 20 minute drive into Asheville. We went shopping and visiting the Wake Foot Spa for a massage and foot soak - would recommend! Lastly, we drove about 20 minutes east to Catawba Falls. Its the perfect 2+ mile hike with several waterfalls. It really was the perfect weekend getaway and we hope to come back again!

My husband and I and my adult son and my niece spent a week at this comfortable relaxing cabin. Our favorite spot to be was on the porch taking in the magnificent view and just having some much-needed downtime. The first floor of the home is a wonderful option for families, specially young children or adults children. The only complaint we had was there were very loud dogs barking at the bottom of the mountain that sometimes disrupted the peace and tranquility

Everything about Breath of Heaven was perfect. The home was clean and finished amazingly. The views are unbeatable and the indoor spa was the cherry on top. Black Mountain was the perfect little town to stay in. We really enjoyed our time away!

What an amazing vacation house. This house is a place you never want to leave. The view is outstanding, the craftsmanship of the house is amazing, very quiet, and the town is very cute. Only 30 minutes away from Asheville and there is no traffic to get to it! Will definitely come back. So relaxing to recharge.

Had some prblems becase the house we rented could nt be used because f air conditioning problems. The Realty company moved quickly to find us anther property. It was in a god location with a pretty view, but was a bt smaller and dd not have a dining area fr meals. However, the back prch was great and we ate most of yr meals ot there. Overall, yr stay was great.

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Breath of Heaven. The home was in excellent shape and very clean.. Driveway was a little intimadating and the road up to the cabin scary, but once you get there and in the home, it's all worth it! You can go relax in the spa room hot tub, or relax on the deck and enjoy the fireplace. Black Mountain was a quaint little town and driving through the Blue Ridge Parkway was beauiful.Would definately do it again!!

The house was beautiful. Except for the scary driveway it could not have been more perfect. Great view and loved the town too. Close to Asheville and local shopping. Rachel from Greybeard was extremely helpful as well! will definitely visit again!

The cabin was spotless upon our arrival. We had everything we needed (kitchen well stocked). Outdoor decks and spa areas especially nice, along with fireplaces. Great time there!

We loved \"Breath of Heaven\". The house is new with all the modern conveniences , it even had a wonderful spa. It was spotlessly clean, tastefully and comfortably furnushed in the Craftmsn style. The kitchen is very well equipped. We found a magic whisk in one draw that takes the work out of whisking a salad dressing. We googled it and bought two on Amazon. We now have a keepsake (including photos) of our wonderful stay in Bkack Mountain. The beds were comfortable, and the three bedrooms are designed so that that two or three couples could have privacy from each other or parents could have the same from their children. We BBQ'd on the deck overlooking the valley with its stunning sunsets. We loved the area and explored extensively. The town of Black Mountain (a 10 minute or so drive) is delightful. No need to travel further for supplies and boutique shops . Overall the house emitted a sense of peace. I loved practicing yoga on the deck.

We were very impressed with the Breath of Heaven cabin owned by Greybeard Realty. This cabin was gorgeous- just like the pictures show! The management staff was very accommodating and professional and made us feel welcome and appreciated. The cabin was spotless and satisfied our needs for the long weekend. The location was perfect for getting into Asheville for dinners but up to the mountains for hiking during the day. We are already planning to come back and stay there again!

A wonderful luxury mountain cabin experience. The cabin is beautifully furnished with nice new amenities, including a Jacuzzi hot tub, fully equipped kitchen, and two large patio decks. The cabin was immaculately maintained. It is within walking distance to Black Mountain but still feels like a secluded mountain cabin. I thoroughly enjoyed my three day stay. I wanted to stay longer. Greybeard Rentals made the rental process super easy.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Breath of Heaven is located in Black Mountain. This home is approximately 5 minutes to downtown Black Mountain and 25 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

This property offers a flexible cancellation policy that differs from the standard cancellation policy. The policy for this home is the moderate policy. The terms of the policy are as stated: Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Breath of Heaven is not “pet friendly”. Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Breath of Heaven has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months.

Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Breath of Heaven. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
