If you haven’t solidified your Memorial Day weekend plans yet, you may want to head on up to the western NC mountains. Greybeard Rentals still has a good variety of rentals available for the weekend. And there are a variety of weekend activities to participate in as well.

Marking the unofficial beginning of summer, Memorial Day is a great time to bring families together and celebrate the commitment and dedication of America’s armed services veterans. Festivities for the weekend are varied. Here’s

Make Memorial Day Memorable

just a small sampling of what’s happening in the Asheville area.

The Kenilworth Artists Open Studio Tour (May 24-25th) is an annual event that highlights more than 20 artists including jewelers, potters, woodworkers and photographers. It’s a great eclectic neighborhood that is easily walkable and only 5 minutes from Asheville. On May 24th Asheville Beer Week kicks off. This weeklong celebration includes beer tastings among other activities. And on Monday, May 26th, head over to the Carl Sandburg National Historic Site for a folk music fest. Scheduled music includes instrumentals, fold ballads and spiritual songs.

Sure, the kids may still be in school and you may be swamped with end of the month work responsibilities, but you can still take time to make some great Memorial Day memories. And hurry up! Believe it or not, the unofficial beginning of summer is next weekend! For more information about Greybeard Rentals listings, please contact us.
