The Lake Tomahawk area is a half a mile walk from downtown Black Mountain and a very popular destination for residents and visitors alike. In the summer months, Lake Tomahawk Park is the location of the town's Park Rhythms summer concert series which takes place from June to August and includes local food vendors, music, and activities for the kids. With a stunning view of the Seven Sisters mountain range, the park also offers a scenic backdrop for running, walking, frisbee, tennis courts, playground, and community center with a swimming pool.
