Christmas at Biltmore & Candlelight Evenings

Christmastime at Biltmore is arguably when America’s Largest Home® and the rest of the estate are at their most enchanting. 

During the winter season, you can visit the Biltmore during the day for Christmas at Biltmore or at night for the epic Candlelight Christmas Evenings. A daytime visit to Biltmore will engage all of the senses with its fragrant pine wreaths, impressive swags of glittering garland, rich tapestries and velvet, and thousands of twinkling lights and ornaments. It's perfect for those who don't want to miss any of the decadent decor and for those who want to do a little Christmas shopping. 

Biltmore Candlelight Christmas Evenings offer a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit and enjoy the Christmas season with friends and family while you explore the Biltmore House and Grounds at night. During the holiday season, guests are greeted by an impressive Norway spruce that is decorated with twinkling lights, sitting on the front lawn of the Biltmore.

While the inside of the home is adorned with holiday decor during daytime hours for visits throughout the day, the evening hours at the Biltmore create a unique ambiance as dim lighting makes way for candles, firelight, twinkling light displays, and decorative touches to shine through. 

These self-guided Candlelight tours are offered in early November and continue through the holidays until the beginning of January. Greybeard Rentals sells tickets to the Biltmore if you'd like to view the Estate all decked out for the holidays. Candlelight Christmas Evenings typically begin around 5:30 p.m. and continue through the evening. If you would like to book a Candlelight tour, we recommend reserving your tickets directly through Biltmore. Tickets also include admission to the Antler Hill Village and Winery and the entire Biltmore grounds.
