Located within walking distance to downtown Asheville and Merrimon Avenue, Sunflower Sanctuary allows you to "live as the locals do" by strolling the tree-lined streets to nearby grocery stores, cafes, bookstores, shops, galleries, and award-winning restaurants. Upon entering this lovely cottage, you will find yourself in the front living room which offers plenty of natural light and brilliant pops of color. From the mint-colored fireplace (decorative only) to the gorgeous stained glass fixtures above the windows, this cozy space is both functional and inspiring. Just off the living room, you'll find the purple-clad dining room with unique decor and mismatched seating for up to 6.

In the evening, make a delicious dinner in the sleek kitchen (complete with granite countertops, gas range stove, dishwasher, and standard coffeemaker) to enjoy in the dining room or on the open-air back deck. After dinner, grab some popcorn from the kitchen pantry and snuggle up in the back den to watch your favorite shows and movies on the Smart TV where you can access streaming apps and regular cable. The first bedroom in this stylish sanctuary comes with a full Murphy bed and a designated work area with reliable wifi (computer not included) that will allow you to work without having to give up your vacation. The second bedroom is the master where you'll find a king bed with a large walk-in closet and a full hall bath with a walk-in shower only. The second hall bathroom boasts a dreamy, vintage clawfoot tub and shower head extension.

After spending an exciting night on the town, you'll look forward to coming home and pouring yourself a glass of wine to sip while soaking in a luxurious bubble bath. In the morning, enjoy a fresh glass of orange juice with a toasted muffin and fruit in the breakfast nook before sitting on the front porch with your newspaper and mug of coffee. PLEASE NOTE: The living room fireplace is NOT usable. Small dogs will be considered with an additional pet fee. Off-street parking is available for two cars with overflow parking street side. The basement is not part of the rental. Included in the monthly rent is a $150 monthly allowance for power, gas, and water. Any overages are to be reimbursed by the tenant. A monthly cleaning service is also required for stays longer than 30 nights.

Overall

Very comfortable and well equipped home. Walkable to downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed our 4 week stay in Asheville, and will be back!

Sunflower Sanctuary is an amazing home. Cozy, but expertly decorated with the perfect zen vibe for Asheville. The spaces are great for a short or long stay, especially including the front porch and the fenced in back garden. The home has a perfect location in one of the best neighborhoods in Asheville, and is walkable to both downtown and other restaurants/taprooms nearby. Highly recommend! The team at Greybeard was also incredibly helpful during both the reservation process and throughout the stay.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Sunflower Sanctuary is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

You will receive check-in instructions prior to your arrival with driving directions and key access information. You do not need to stop by our office to pick up your keys. You will go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months.

Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Sunflower Sanctuary. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
