Tucked away at the end of a quiet cove and across the street from the lake and private dock, the home will offer guests tranquil mornings out on the balcony and peaceful evenings eating alfresco out on the patio.

While the home has everything you’ll need for your stay, including a full kitchen, game room with a ping pong table and card table, Wi-Fi, and outdoor grill, you’ll spend all your time outside on the spacious, upper-level deck with picturesque views of the lake and mountain peaks. There’s a swimming ladder for easy access into the water, along with a canoe that is permitted by the Town of Lake Lure. Also, your furry 4-legged friends will love the fenced backyard.

Conveniently located on the northern side of Lake Lure, you’re less than 10 minutes to Chimney Rock Village and the Lake Lure Community Beach & Water Park. Grab a decadent breakfast from Medina’s Bistro before heading across the street to Chimney Rock State Park. When you’re done taking in the views, head back into the Village to shop local boutiques and gift shops and unwind with a glass of wine at Burntshirt Vineyards and Bistro.

Asheville is a 45 minutes drive from Lake Lured Away and is perfect for a day trip to explore this culturally diverse and unique city. While in town, schedule a tour of the Biltmore Estate and explore the exquisite grounds and special exhibits.

Lake Lured Away has a 7-day minimum stay requirement (Saturday-Saturday) during the summer months.

Lake Lured Away is pet-friendly with an additional pet fee.

Lake Lured Away is subject to specific regulations and guidelines enforced by Lake Lure. Certain types of watercraft are prohibited, and ALL watercraft (motorized and non-motorized) must obtain and display a permit issued by the town to be on the lake. Renters do not have access to the boat storage beneath the deck. Also, from November to March, Lake Lure lowers water levels to about 12 ft. below normal levels.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Lake Lured Away is located in Lake Lure. This home is approximately 10 minutes to Chimney Rock, 45 minutes to Black Mountain and Tryon, and 50 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Lake Lured Away is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash. 

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Lake Lured Away has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and select option 1 which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Lake Lured Away. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.

WHAT IS LAKE LURE’S BOAT ACCESS POLICY? WHERE AND HOW DO I ACQUIRE A BOAT RENTAL?

Lake Lured Away is subject to specific regulations and guidelines enforced by Lake Lure. Certain types of watercrafts are prohibited, and ALL watercrafts (motorized and non-motorized) must obtain and display a permit issued by the town in order to be on the lake. 

Lake Lured Away has a private dock for guests to use within the designated guidelines outlined by Lake Lure. Please note that renters do NOT have access to the boat storage beneath the deck.

My family went to celebrate our mother's 70th birthday. The home was very charming and the family room was so comfortable. The landscaping and views were stunning. We also loved the location as nothing was too far away. Chimney Rock, the Flowering Bridge, wonderful restaurants, and the public beach were all within 15 minutes. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to visit this house again in the future!

Plenty of room for the whole family (including the granddogs). Beautiful deck above the boat dock with gorgeous views. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Plenty of parking for our family members coming and going at different times of the week. Beds were very comfortable and A/C worked well.
