Private estate farmhouse located in a small, private mountain farming community, 20 minutes southeast of downtown Asheville, 15 minutes to Asheville Regional airport, 20 minutes to the gates of Biltmore Estate.

This fully renovated & restored mountain farmhouse, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, on the outskirts of downtown Asheville, offers a relaxing and invigorating escape. The home has been fully renovated and modernized for all the comforts one would expect in a luxury vacation rental. Barns & homes built with timbers is centuries old, and exudes an incredible amount of warmth and serenity. With soaring rafters, high ceilings, and vaulted spaces, you immediately feel at home and relaxed, like you were meant to be here.

The home is over 3,000 square feet, spread over 2 floors, affording plenty of space to relax, to play, and to unwind with friends and family. There is a spectacular chef's grade kitchen, 2 fireplaces, and plenty of areas to sit and unwind with a good book. There is an expansive front porch and a lower patio for all sorts of gatherings, cookouts, late night card games, or whatever.

With the 5 bedrooms, this spectacular home offers plenty of sleeping arrangements for families & groups looking to vacation in Asheville, in the shadow of the Smoky mountains. The home is close to skiing, golf, tennis, and hiking along the Blue Ridge Parkway, or in any of the local state parks; Pisgah National Forest, Grandfather Mountain, Mount Mitchell, the Cherokee Reservation, and much more.

FAQ

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus a $75 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance . Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Cane Creek Farmhouse of Asheville is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash. 

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

You will receive check-in instructions prior to your arrival with driving directions and key access information. You do not need to stop by our office to pick up your keys. You will go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

Everything was absolutely perfect! We were concerned that we were too far from Asheville, but turned out it was centrally located between Asheville and Chimney Rock. The mountains are literally right out the front door, plenty of room for our dogs, and the house was comfy and cozy. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
The staff was very responsive and helpful.

Cane Creek Farmhouse provided the perfect backdrop for our extended family vacation. The house is beautiful with comfortable common spaces including an excellent kitchen. Our toddler also enjoyed watching the cows on the property, along with a little slide and some toys in the barn. We had never visited the area and found helpful recommendations for food and activities. Would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed with a group of nine ages ranging 1 to 68 years old. The house was well appointed and comfortably fit our group. We especially enjoyed the quiet sunset views of the mountains and fireflies.

We spent about 10 days here and really enjoyed the views and the animals around the house. The house was big and had plenty of room and looked newly remodeled. It was very convenient for making trips to Asheville or for white water rafting which we did twice

Beautiful house that is well decorated and comfortable. It is also well equipped, especially in the kitchen, which boasts very nice appliances. The layout is unique, but not uncommon for an older home. Lots of character. It's kind of out on it's own location wise, but very idyllic and quiet.

We just returned from our stay in the Asheville area and this was one of my favorite rental homes to date. The home was beautifully renovated but still kept the farm house charm. The size was perfect for our group giving enough space for privacy but also perfect for socializing. The grounds were amazing. I loved having the cows in our front yard making our morning walks delightful. With 3 fireplaces, we kept warm during this recent cold snap. Would definitely come back!
