Cane Creek Farmhouse is an estate farmhouse located in a small, private farming community only 20 minutes southeast of downtown Asheville, 15 minutes to Asheville Regional airport, and 20 minutes to the gates of the Biltmore Estate. This restored mountain farmhouse offers a relaxing and invigorating escape for the entire family. The home has been fully renovated and modernized for all the comforts one would expect in a luxury vacation rental. The timber used to build the home and barns is centuries old and exudes an incredible amount of warmth and serenity. With soaring rafters, high ceilings, and vaulted spaces, you immediately feel at home and relaxed, like you were meant to be here.

The main floor boasts a spectacular chef's grade kitchen, 2 fireplaces, the main living room, a small den, and a bedroom with a full-size bed. Also on the main floor is a full bathroom with a traditional clawfoot bathtub with shower, mud room, laundry area, coffee bar, and access to the side patio. A beadboard-lined stairwell leads to the upper level of the home with a primary bedroom and ensuite bathroom (shower only), a bedroom with a queen bed, and a bedroom with two twin beds. A powder room and additional full bathroom (shower only) provide additional space upstairs for groups or large families. A third-level loft area can be accessed from the hallway of the upper level and is home to two sitting areas for an after-adventure nap or a quiet space for enjoying a favorite book. Please note that sheets are NOT provided for sleeper sofas.

Please note: This home is pet-friendly with an additional fee. The grounds can be explored and enjoyed, but the surrounding area is an active, working farm. ALL barns and outbuildings on the property are NOT accessible to guests. Please be respectful of the space. There is a Ring doorbell on the main barn for safety.

Wonderful Stay

We booked the house last minute and everything fell into place! The house is beautiful and has lots of room to hangout and spend time together. We have small children and they enjoyed the cows in the field and the surprise swing set! There was room on the porches for them to spend time and they were able to ride bicycles on the long driveway. The kitchen was spacious enough to cook our meals in and spend time together while we did! Overall, it was a very enjoyable trip.

We absolutely loved the house. It was so inviting and well furnished and the views out the kitchen window were spectacular. We had some amazing sunsets!

What a beautiful home!!! All of us enjoyed ourselves and found the home very comfortable and warm. We loved the whole facility and felt very much at home. We loved the separate areas for us to have a group conversation or just a private time with each other. We gathered in the kitchen majority of the time and just loved it. Can't say enough on how much we enjoyed ourselves.

A lovely home with great country views. This was once a dairy farm in it's past life. It has been updated and refitted with all the modern fixtures. My family really enjoyed our stay. Greybeard reality were right on point answers to any questions we had. Thank you

Everything was absolutely perfect! We were concerned that we were too far from Asheville, but turned out it was centrally located between Asheville and Chimney Rock. The mountains are literally right out the front door, plenty of room for our dogs, and the house was comfy and cozy. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
The staff was very responsive and helpful.

Cane Creek Farmhouse provided the perfect backdrop for our extended family vacation. The house is beautiful with comfortable common spaces including an excellent kitchen. Our toddler also enjoyed watching the cows on the property, along with a little slide and some toys in the barn. We had never visited the area and found helpful recommendations for food and activities. Would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed with a group of nine ages ranging 1 to 68 years old. The house was well appointed and comfortably fit our group. We especially enjoyed the quiet sunset views of the mountains and fireflies.

We spent about 10 days here and really enjoyed the views and the animals around the house. The house was big and had plenty of room and looked newly remodeled. It was very convenient for making trips to Asheville or for white water rafting which we did twice

Beautiful house that is well decorated and comfortable. It is also well equipped, especially in the kitchen, which boasts very nice appliances. The layout is unique, but not uncommon for an older home. Lots of character. It's kind of out on it's own location wise, but very idyllic and quiet.

We just returned from our stay in the Asheville area and this was one of my favorite rental homes to date. The home was beautifully renovated but still kept the farm house charm. The size was perfect for our group giving enough space for privacy but also perfect for socializing. The grounds were amazing. I loved having the cows in our front yard making our morning walks delightful. With 3 fireplaces, we kept warm during this recent cold snap. Would definitely come back!

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Cane Creek Farmhouse of Asheville is located in Fletcher. This home is approximately 20 minutes to downtown Asheville and 30 minutes to Hendersonville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Cane Creek Farmhouse of Asheville is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

You will receive check-in instructions prior to your arrival with driving directions and key access information. You do not need to stop by our office to pick up your keys. You will go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE? WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store.

Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Cane Creek Farmhouse. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
