Nestled between Star Gap Creek and Newberry Creek, this cozy cabin is a little piece of Heaven that you'll have to see to believe! Cabin at Two Creeks was built on-site by the original owners, a husband and wife team, and exudes rustic charm.

About the Home
• Kitchen with eat-in dining and standard drip-style coffee maker.
• Covered front porch with swing, overlooking the private, wooded property and creeks.
• The cabin is heated and cooled with a mini-split system. The wood stove also provides phenomenal heat and firewood is provided.
• There is very limited cell reception, however, the cabin has a landline. There is no WIFI, allowing you to fully disconnect and relax.
• Bring your fishing gear, as guests are welcome to fish. Catch-and-Release only, please. All licensing laws and requirements apply.
• Other entertainment options include a satellite TV with a Blu-Ray player, Bose Wave Radio, and board games.
• Dogs are welcome with an additional fee.

This was the best vacation my family and I have been on in a long time. My son spent most of his time in the creek, my husband and I on the porch swing overlooking the creek. It was the most relaxing and peaceful place. No cell phone service, which turned out better than expected to just spend time with family. We will be booking this cabin again.

The cabin is beautiful! Such a relaxing and peaceful location. It was actually refreshing to unplug from our devices. It is beautifully maintained. Having linens and towels available was also key for us, as this was a last minute booking. We were not coming from home, but from visiting family, so we would probably not have been able to stay here without those being offered.

The location of the cabin between two streams was wonderful. We enjoyed the peace and quiet.

The creeks are the highlight of this cozy cabin. The location is just remote enough to feel away from everything, but only 10 minutes back into civilization if needed. Highly recommend for a long weekend, especially with kids who want to play in nature from dawn to dusk.

We enjoyed the wonderful wood stove that kept us cozy and warm during the 17 degree nights we experienced during our stay at Cabin at Two Creeks. The sound of rushing water from the creek was so peaceful, and drew us out to the back porch swing- We love being on the edge of the Pisgah Forest and hiked to numerous waterfalls that were wonderfully accessible in January!

Bit of a drive to get up to the cabin. No cell signal either... Which is a plus or a minus, depending on how you feel about getting away from life! The stream runs right beside the cabin, so it will absolutely put you to sleep at night. Wonderfully relaxing. The wood-burning stove was very cozy in the frigid weather as well.

We absolutely loved this little cabin in the woods with the two creeks running beside it! That porch swing is the best place for morning coffee and evening margaritas and everything in between! Couldn't get enough... It is far enough from everything to feel secluded but within just a few minutes' drive to the area attractions. It rained our second day/night but that just made the creeks come alive with rushing waters and all new falls! An absolute delight...we can't wait to go back!

Location was really great, located on two creeks. Close enough to local towns but far enough to feel away from it all. Porch swing was the perfect spot to sit and enjoy coffee, watch the fire and listen to the creek. Our family loved this spot.

We absolutely loved our relaxing visit at the Cabin. Everything was amazing, the cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed for a week. The best part was, of course, sitting on the porch swing listening to the two creeks and watching the hundreds of butterflies.

It was tough at first (especially for the teenagers) with no internet or cell service, but after the first day... we didn't miss it at all! The cabin seems so far away, but yet close to many wonderful activities. We visited Mount Mitchell, Catawba Falls, Chimney Rock & Lake Lure, Downtown Black Mountain and tubing at Carolina Hemlock.

Beautiful location and cozy clean cabin. Heard no man made noises the entire stay. Heard only the rapid creeks stream, Southern chorus frogs, back porch swing for long talks and laughing. We had such a good time. Near hiking on the Parkway and shopping in Black Mountain/Asheville.

My family had a wonderful experience in the beautiful cabin. the cabin was secluded and we enjoyed the privacy and gorgeous sureoundings. My kids loved the creek and surroundings, and we loved using the wood stove.

We really enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with the service we received from the rental company. We felt at home at the cabin and although the property wasn't as secluded as we had envisioned, it was beautiful and peaceful.

Very nice place to stay! Would love to stay here again very quite place with great hiking nearby. There is no internet or over the air TV it did not effect us but for some people this maybe an issue. Be sure to give people the house phone number because there is no cell service.
Don't let this stop you! Just saying that the description is wrong where it has this listed. We thought some of the cleaning fees where a bit high but all of the fees where clearly explained and the communication with Graybeard was Great! Awesome place to take in the Creeks!

When first entering the cabin, you see through the windows in the family room out to the incredibly beautiful yard with trees and the two creeks. The experience gets better with each step you take.
The cabin itself is welcoming, comfortable and homey. It's a great place to relax and unwind. The owners have taken great care to provide all the necessary comforts.
The outside area is an extension of the cabin. There's a swing on the back porch where I read a book while listening to the rushing water in the creeks. We sat out in the natural area with our chairs in a circle and caught up on life. We were even blessed with a visit from some wild turkeys early on Sunday morning!
Overall, it was an awesome experience. We'd definitely return!

FAQs

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Cabin at Two Creeks is located in Old Fort. This home is approximately a 25-minute drive to Black Mountain and Marion, and approximately a 45-minute drive to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Cabin at Two Creeks is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash. 

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

You will receive check-in instructions prior to your arrival with driving directions and key access information. You do not need to stop by our office to pick up your keys. You will go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and select option 1, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE?

This home is equipped with an indoor wood stove and an outdoor fire pit. Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store. Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is NOT available at Cabin at Two Creeks.
