Description

Annie's Cabin has been redesigned by our new owner for your next North Carolina getaway. The cabin is brimming with personality featuring vintage and antique items, many from Asheville area antique shops and many from the owner’s own collection. Beautiful new landscaping features an outdoor hot tub and fire pit! Watch the trees and mountains change colors as the sun crosses the sky to the pink and blue hues of sunset.
Inside, enjoy your favorite shows on cable on the new flat screen TVs and surf on the free wireless internet. Rest easy on comfortable queen size beds, located in each bedroom.

Annie's is tucked away in the mountains of Fairview, yet only a 15 minute drive to Asheville. Come enjoy a wonderful mountain retreat at Annie's Cabin! Steep driveway, but 4WD not required. Newly paved driveway April 2020! SHEETS AND TOWELS INCLUDED for your convenience.

This home is pet friendly with additional pet fee.

*Please note: The homeowner has 2 outdoor security cameras (one facing the driveway and front entrance and one facing the back porch door).

FAQ

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Annie's Cabin is located in Fairview. This home is approximately 20 minutes to downtown Asheville and 30 minutes to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus a $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Annie's Cabin is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash. 

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Annie's Cabin has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE? 

Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store.

Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Annie's Cabin. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.

The quiet comfort of this cabin is perfect for relaxation. The location is off the beaten track and allows for utter privacy. Proximity to Asheville and activities is also a benefit. The decor is whimsical and unpretentious but fully functional. We would recommend this "cabin" to anyone!

This was a cute, clean house in the deep woods! It was a steep ride up a gravel road but it wasn't bad after the first time. The house is equipped with all the items you may need to cook etc. the environment was cozy and welcoming. We loved this cabin.

The cabin was absolutely clean, and provided everything we needed for our time there. Thank you for the hospitality and the house was truly amazing! You will definitely need a 4WD vehicle to get up the driveway to the house.

This home is perfect for a getaway with friends. The porch is lovely, and everything is decorated with great taste and attention to detail. We had everything we needed and the management company was very responsive with any questions. The hot tub is great too! Beds are super comfy with high quality linens, and the tv/WiFi worked flawlessly as well. Would definitely recommend!<BR>

From the moment I called and made my reservations I knew I was in good hands. We discussed the cabin I stayed at "Annie's" and they asked questions and made suggestions to assure my needs were met. Annie's cabin was clean, incredibly decorated and so full of charm we could have spent the entire time just being "there" It was far enough away that it was quiet and relaxing but close enough to shopping and eating to make it perfect for us. There is a beautiful little kitchen as well as a grill outside if you choose to cook in. The hot tub was A M A Z I N G We loved this cabin so much

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Annie's Cabin! What a quaint little escape. It fit the 4 of us (two couples) perfectly, and there was space to relax, dine, play board games, and enjoy the mountains and fresh air. We loved the hot tub!!! <br/><br/>The location is also great for nearly every activity you can imagine in the area. Hiking, breweries, you name it!!!!<br/><br/>I would say that you should be aware that the driveway is gravel and pretty steep. One of our cars struggled a great deal up it, and our AWD car was fine, so we took that one everywhere. We made it work and it was worth it.

Place was great, Quiet, well located and comfortable. Just what I needed for a vacation. Hot tub was great after a day of hiking or just walking around the nearby towns. We liked it so much we are considering moving to the area.

My family (husband and baby girl) had a fabulous time at Annies Cabin. The cabin was immaculate, cozy and quiet. It had everything we needed. The porch was the perfect place to enjoy the sounds of birds, roosters in the morning and the pitter patter of rain in woods. The hot tub was relaxing and very clean. We would have stayed the whole year if we could!

Annie's Cabin was a great experience. I've had experiences with another cabin through a guys trip and we're always pleased. This was the first with my girlfriend. We both enjoyed the tranquility and quaintness of Annie's cabin. The cabin was very well maintained and amenities were sufficed. We didn't expect a lot and but were very pleased. We had read previous reviews and knew of the steepness of the driveway however still a bit surprised. The road to the driveway was also steep and rugged. My truck was able to handle it but the looseness of the gravel was a little concerning. We still very much enjoyed our trip and will cherish our memories!

A lovely cabin! Came for Asheville but wished we stayed longer to enjoy the cabin itself. So many nice touches and the staff was very receptive with questions. Would love to return and would highly recommend but I dont want it to become so popular that we cant get a date for a return trip !

I was very pleased with Annie's Cabin. It was clean, very well stocked with every cooking utensil I needed. It was very comfortable, with nice bedding and very nice amenities. The location was beautiful with trees filling your view (particularly in Fall). The rental staff provided excellent updates prior to arrival and the check-in and check-out processes were smooth and easy. I can't wait to go back!!

Perfect. Comfortable. Relaxing. Fun. Clean. Convenient. Easy. What other good things can I say?? Just what we were looking for to get together with friends. Dont even worry about the driveway issues. There were a lot more basic necessities in the cabinets than we were lead to believe. Would be helpful if photos were shared of the pantry to prevent arriving with extra items. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Brought the family up for a long weekend and had a great trip - our first time in the area. It was my young kids first time in the mountains at all and they loved it. The cabin is fantastic, we particularly enjoyed the deck with the fantastic view and the hot tub right by the fire pit. <br/><br/>Greybeard was great, with several very friendly follow up calls prior to the stay. We had no issues and even got an early check in notification. <br/><br/>Location is great - centrally located between Lake Lure and Asheville proper. I was surprised how quickly we could get to downtown Asheville while still being in the middle of the woods. <br/><br/>My only negative - as has been mentioned here before - is the very steep driveway. We did have a minor issue getting up the first time (we have a front wheel drive Hyundai Sante Fe) but after the first time we were prepared and had no further issues. After staying a few days, enjoying all the other aspects of the cabin, and making it up the driveway without issue, it certainly became much less of a negative in my mind. <br/><br/>We definitely plan on staying here again in the future. Highly recommended.

Asheville is a beautiful spot and Annie's Cabin is high up in the woods. It's a great cabin, quiet and cute. Please be aware that the driveway is very steep. Directions are sent to you to help you navigate it and you need to follow them. If you aren't comfortable driving up a very steep gravel driveway, I would look at a different rental property. We left a note with a few things that are needed in the cabin, but overall, it was a wonderful week.

We had a wonderful stay. Each day began and ended on the porch, watching the clouds rise up over the mountains in the morning and sun set at night. The cabin is spotless, well stocked and comfy. The hot tub was a welcome retreat after our hikes. Hope to come back.

Our stay at Annie's Cabin was nothing short of fantastic! The cabin itself was beautiful and in excellent shape. The views were terrific and really added to the stay. The Greybeard staff were great and very helpful. The welcoming bread was a GREAT touch! We will return!

We enjoyed Annie's cabin so much. The details the owner put into decorating with items that have a story was a nice touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit several nights. My only complaint was the driveway... it was difficult to get a smaller car around the turn and up the incline.

This cabin was absolutely exceptional! The cabin was so clean and cozy with perfect little additions of style to make you feel at home! It was the perfect size for our family of four. The view was great and the porch was awesome for sunrise mornings. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quaint get away.

This cabin was perfect! Quiet location not far from Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway made it a great home base for everything we wanted to do. Clean and charming, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay at Annie's Cabin. It was in a convenient location to Asheville, high up enough to be scenic, yet not far from the highways. The furnishings were comfortable and clean...and so interesting to look at! It's not a bit place...just cozy...perfect for a couple or 3 or 4 people. We would definitely stay here again!

Annie's Cabin is a cute little cabin with everything you need. It was decorated with great care and flair. With that said, I did find that it was difficult to find a space to spread out a map or put things down as every space was covered with antiques and knick knacks. The location is a good 20 minutes from Asheville on a very steep road and drive which was no problem navigating. (If you bring your dog be aware there is nowhere to walk a dog.)

Annie's Cabin was a true delight! We have stayed in many cabins in the Asheville area but never out this way. It was pure heaven. There was even a little welcoming gift on the kitchen counter - the little touches were outstanding! I felt like my best friend loaned me the keys to her house. The owner put so many personal touches and family pieces in the cabin and then left a note to let you know about them. The cabin is up to date with all bathrooms and appliances. And the view from the porch is beautiful. We were so comfortable and felt snuggled in. It was just right for a weekend for just the two of us. Everything worked well - we even enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin was absolutely perfect and we cannot wait to come back and stay again.

Although the drive up to the cabin was a little harrowing the first time, finding Annie's Cabin at the end of it was a sheer delight. The cabin is well appointed, cozy, comfortable and decorated adorably. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings with a glass of wine. We already miss it!

We were very happy with our experience with Greybeard Rentals and our stay at Annie's cabin! We would definitely stay at Annie's cabin again if we visit the area in the future. The cabin was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, the appliances were in good condition, the porch was fabulous, and the space was perfect for our family of 4. <br/><br/>Recommend eating at "The Local Joint" close to the cabin and "Pack's Tavern" in DT Asheville. Visiting the Biltmore is a must.<br/><br/>Not a complaint but a recommendation- some landscaping around the cabin would be a nice touch.<br/><br/>We were happy with our stay!!!

We have rented many homes for trips and were not disappointed with Annie's Cozy Cabin. The cabin was perfect for NC trip with elderly parents. Great location to Biltmore, Great Smokey Mountain National Park day trip, Blue Ridge Parkway drive, Chimney Rock State Park and Asheville. I highly recommend this cabin if you want to get away from city life and enjoy quiet mornings on patio with a great view. Working with Greybeard was exceptional and simple. Awesome & Amazing!!

Just right. The size, furnishings and location suited our vacation perfectly. Cabin was clean and well appointed. The only downside is the steep driveway and loose gravel. If I ever visit Ashville again, this will be the place I will try to reserve. Eat at the Early Girl on Wall St in Asheville, the food was awesome!

This rental had wonderful views at an incredible price. Two comfortable bedrooms, a full kitchen, and two baths left plent of space for my husband and I and my brother. The wrap-around porch was great! The pumkpin bread was a very nice touch. The drive is a bit steep, with gravel. Four-wheel drive would have been more secure, but we were able to make it up with our Hyundai Elantra. My only complaint is that the guest bedroom Sleep Number bed only worked on the right side and the tv in that room had a poor picture. Both of these I'm sure could be easily fixed and I recommend the cabin regardless.

This cabin was perfect. The view from the back porch in the fall was amazing. You could see the stars so clearly at night as well. The inside of the cabin was so cozy and warm. It was well kept up and had all of the needed amenities. The location was good..30 minutes away from Asheville and less than 10 minutes from a grocery store, etc. The stay was very enjoyable! However, I would recommended bringing your own pillows. The pillows they had were not very comfortable.

This is my third stay here and it was just perfect for the 2 of us. I went with my best friend from high school and she had her own bedroom and bath and so did I. It was clean, neat and everything worked just fine except for the Select Comfort controls in the Master Bedroom....needs new battery??? I like that everything is on one floor...has a nice large deck and it located near Asheville or you can make a day trip by going to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. I love having Wi-Fi for my ipad and smart phone...sure saves on data usage. It is a quiet area...very peaceful.

We were very happy with the cabin and our stay. The cabin had everything that we could possibly need, and more. Only exception was that the grounds in front and sides of the deck were very overgrown and unruly. If it is not trimmed and cleaned up, it will soon take over the deck and block out the lovely view. The bird feeders are designed for finches but were filled with sunflower seeds and so, the birds, large or small could not get the seeds out. The Ballards and Dolins.

This cabin is great for 2 couples or 2 people who want their own bedroom and bathroom. If you want peace and quiet you have it here. If you want to watch TV you can do so in each bedroom and in the family room. If you want to problem...there is a fully stocked kitchen complete with dishwasher, microwave and fridge. There are books to read and games to play. If you want to grill out that is available too. There is something here for everyone. It's a great little cabin that has a wonderful deck with an outstanding view.
