From the covered front deck, watch the trees and mountains change colors as the sun crosses the sky to the pink and blue hues of sunset.

Wonderful Little Retreat

This is our second trip to Annie's Cabin. We stayed their last year less than a week before hurricane Helene. The place had been well maintained, was clean, comfortable and wonderfully quiet. There were clear instructions on how to do everything. The dirt road to the cabin looked like it had been washed out during Helene and had been fixed. Although it was a little dicey getting up the steep driveway my little Toyota made it up just fine. All-in-all it was a much needed getaway in a treasure of this little house.

This cabin is one of the best we ever stayed at. Very clean,good price, well maintained. No complaints at all. Also great communication with staff at Greybeard. Would recommend to everyone. Thanks for having us.

We really enjoyed Annie's cabin. The hot tub and fire pit were just what we were looking for. The decor in the cabin was very cute. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The only criticism we have is that we wish there were window coverings for over the doors. Although, I'm sure the other houses were far enough away to give us privacy.

Great little cabin. Only negative was the coffee cups were chipped on the edges making drinking from them a bit of a challenge.

We rented Annie's Cabin for our 40th anniversary. It is beautiful! The entire home is made from 2X6, honey colored wood with the kitchen and living room sport a gorgeous cathedral ceiling. The back deck is partially covered and is very big. The view is spectacular. There was also a fire pit, grill, and hot tub outside even though we did not use them. It was very quiet and peaceful there. The goodie bag they provide has some basic cleaning and paper items as well as some trial size personal items. It was near enough to Asheville that we had fun there each day. We had a great vacation and highly recommend Annie's Cabin.

This was my second time staying at Annie’s and once again, it was superb! The view from the porch is beautiful and relaxing. I love that there are no close/visible hours near. We had adventures at Looking Glass Falls ( a must!) Sliding Rock, Chimney Rock and The Biltmore. In the evening we would hot tub and soak our tired legs! Amazing place!!!

Very quiet and secluded cabin. very clean and well stocked. This was our second time here and like the first time we were not disappointed! The customer support is phenomenal.

I would recommend Annie’s Cabin to almost everyone…if you don’t mind a few hundred feet of driving on a gravel road and a steep driveway! Otherwise it is for EVERYONE! Upon arrival, it definitely was bigger than it looked on the website, which was a “win” considering it was just me and my spouse and goldendoodle. All the necessities were available and enough for our 3 night stay. The hot tub was well maintained and very clean, the mountainview and air was incredibly refreshing and restorative to our physically weary bodies. What a great way to spend our 34th wedding anniversary. The only negative we experienced were the very large black ants that appeared in the kitchen by the sink wall, the trash closet and scattered elsewhere throughout the cabin. We made the rental company aware and they in turn credited us for the inconvenience of ants crawling throughout. They also made the owner aware and made us aware that pest control would be notified to take care of this before renting to future vacationers.

The cabin more than met our expectations. It's perfectly tucked into the woods but not too far from town and sight seeing drives.my only complaint would be the 800 feet of the township road leading to the cabin. It's extremely rough.

I can’t recommend Annie’s Cabin enough! It was cozy, clean, and well-maintained. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect-20 minutes from downtown Asheville while still getting the remote, peaceful cabin in the mountains experience. We loved coming back here after exploring Asheville or going hiking. The deck and the hot tub were perfect! This was also our first time taking our dog on vacation and she had a great time too. We can’t wait to come back!

The cabin was everything we thought and more. Being from Wisconsin, we know our way around north woods cabins and this place nailed it! We instantly loved the feel of the place and took full advantage of the hot tub and the fire pit. Annie’s Cabin was very clean and well stocked. We had a great time hiking in the DuPont recreational area and taking in a few antique shops. We made meals, played games, and enjoyed the view from the deck. Incredible place and if we ever find ourselves in the area again, this is where we’ll stay!

I've stayed here on multiple occasions and the only thing I would change is having a smart TV in the living room. My son almost went nuts not being able to watch YouTube on the living room TV in the evenings, but other than that, all was great.

The cabin was the perfect size, in a beautiful location,and had all the amenities (especially plenty of towels!) we needed. We loved the big porch and feeding the hummingbirds! We especially appreciated the gift bag with the bag of Poppy's Popcorn. In fact, we bought several bags in town to take back home with us. It was a very nice surprise to find some extra items in the pantry, and the variety of cooking implements was awesome, since we cooked a few of our meals at the cabin and ate on the deck. We loved our stay so much we extended it by two days, and are hoping to come back in October. Thanks for a great "home base" for visiting Asheville! Karen

The cabin was over the top cute with its vintage vibe. We loved the location and the view! Everything was top notch except for the old wall em out mattress in the secondary bedroom.

Annie's Cabin was a delight! Beautiful views, fully equipped and fun! The hot tub and fire pit were just the right touch! A short ride to visit and explore Asheville, and do some great hiking in the mountains! A perfect getaway!

We had a wonderful time at Annie's Cabin - it was so adorable and had everything we needed. The location was so peaceful and quiet. I would definitely stay there again. I recommend an all wheel drive vehicle with good cameras to negotiate the paved road and backing out of the driveway.

Cabin was well equipped for cooking/grilling. Just 20/30 minutes from activities we came to NC for such as Biltmore and Pisgah Forest. Spent our evenings at the cabin enjoying fire pit and hot tub. Only complaint is no convenient way to dispose of garbage. (Understanding the bear factor reason, just having to trek garbage to town not ideal)

Annie's cabin is a wonderful place to stay. The cabin is beautifully decorated. We felt at home as soon as we arrived and the location is perfect. The cabin is well maintained and had everything we needed.

Annie's Cabin was cozy and well-appointed. It had everything we needed and some things we didn't know we needed. The view was beautiful and the hot tub was great after a long day of hiking.

I have stayed here on more than one occasion, and love it. As others have stated, the road/driveway is a little steep, but well worth the climb. I own rental properties myself, and I have to say, this is the most well appointed rental I've ever seen. If you need it, it's probably there somewhere Lol.. Thanks again.

What an amazing cabin, with amazing views. The space was comfortable, clean, and the internet was strong. The kitchen was well stocked with all the needed cooking appliances, utensils, pots, and pans. The hot tub was just the perfect extra on top! I have two notes, the road up is certainly more than bumpy. I have to imagine that a standard size car would bottom out. And the bed pillows were hard/firm, I wish I had brought one from home. I would still 10000% recommend staying here! Will be back (with my own pillow).

The cabin sparkles and there are thoughtful touches everywhere. Grandma, daughter and granddaughter were getting together for an early Christmas and had not been together for two years. What an amazing treat to arrive and find the cabin decorated for the holidays! A lit Christmas tree greeted us and there were whimsical items throughout. This cabin is cozy and well planned. The lighting is great for reading and games and the beds are as comfortable as at home . We stayed inside most days and enjoyed discovering the trophy squirrel and moose - from coasters to tableware to linens, it is all done well. The view from the porch is even better than in pictures. Hot tub and fire pit were nice to have for getting outdoors. Appreciate that we got a text about a fire burn ban before we lit the fire. In fact, Greybeard stayed in touch from the time the reservation was made until we left. I even got a phone call to be sure I had received directions and check in codes. It was nice to have a 24 hour # to reach a real person in case of emergency. But there were no glitches and I can't stop thinking about how much we enjoyed the cabin. Note: The driveway is a little steep but it's short and the parking area is all flat. A short distance on a dirt road requires caution if you aren't used to the mountains but I'm from the coast and not fond of heights! It was no problem for the rest of the family.

Annie's cabin was a lovely place to stay! It was incredibly clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. We especially loved the porch with the beautiful view of the mountains. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could have needed and would highly recommend this place to anyone!

The cabin was beautiful and fully stocked with everything we needed other than food. I had mentioned it was my birthday and was left a lovely bottle of Merlot. I also enjoyed the fact the interior was decorated for Christmas. It made it feel so cozy and like home. The Mountain View's were also epic by. I will be returning to Annie's Cabin my next visit to the area for sure!!

What a beautiful cabin! It makes you feel at home from the moment you enter. It is decorated beautifully and has every thing you need for an amazing stay. The quiet comfort of this cabin is perfect for relaxation. The location is off the beaten track and allows for utter privacy. Proximity to Asheville and activities is also a benefit. The decor is whimsical and unpretentious but fully functional. We would recommend this "cabin" to anyone!

This was a cute, clean house in the deep woods! It was a steep ride up a gravel road but it wasn't bad after the first time. The house is equipped with all the items you may need to cook etc. the environment was cozy and welcoming. We loved this cabin.

This home is perfect for a getaway with friends. The porch is lovely, and everything is decorated with great taste and attention to detail. We had everything we needed and the management company was very responsive with any questions. The hot tub is great too! Beds are super comfy with high quality linens, and the tv/WiFi worked flawlessly as well. Would definitely recommend!

From the moment I called and made my reservations I knew I was in good hands. We discussed the cabin I stayed at "Annie's" and they asked questions and made suggestions to assure my needs were met. Annie's cabin was clean, incredibly decorated and so full of charm we could have spent the entire time just being "there" It was far enough away that it was quiet and relaxing but close enough to shopping and eating to make it perfect for us. There is a beautiful little kitchen as well as a grill outside if you choose to cook in. The hot tub was A M A Z I N G We loved this cabin so much

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Annie's Cabin! What a quaint little escape. It fit the 4 of us (two couples) perfectly, and there was space to relax, dine, play board games, and enjoy the mountains and fresh air. We loved the hot tub!!!

The location is also great for nearly every activity you can imagine in the area. Hiking, breweries, you name it!!!!

I would say that you should be aware that the driveway is gravel and pretty steep. One of our cars struggled a great deal up it, and our AWD car was fine, so we took that one everywhere. We made it work and it was worth it.

My family (husband and baby girl) had a fabulous time at Annies Cabin. The cabin was immaculate, cozy and quiet. It had everything we needed. The porch was the perfect place to enjoy the sounds of birds, roosters in the morning and the pitter patter of rain in woods. The hot tub was relaxing and very clean. Annie's Cabin was a great experience. I've had experiences with another cabin through a guys trip and we're always pleased. This was the first with my girlfriend. We both enjoyed the tranquility and quaintness of Annie's cabin. The cabin was very well maintained and amenities were sufficed. We didn't expect a lot and but were very pleased. We had read previous reviews and knew of the steepness of the driveway however still a bit surprised. The road to the driveway was also steep and rugged. My truck was able to handle it but the looseness of the gravel was a little concerning. We still very much enjoyed our trip and will cherish our memories!

A lovely cabin! Came for Asheville but wished we stayed longer to enjoy the cabin itself. So many nice touches and the staff was very receptive with questions. Would love to return and would highly recommend but I dont want it to become so popular that we cant get a date for a return trip !

I was very pleased with Annie's Cabin. It was clean, very well stocked with every cooking utensil I needed. It was very comfortable, with nice bedding and very nice amenities. The location was beautiful with trees filling your view (particularly in Fall). Brought the family up for a long weekend and had a great trip - our first time in the area. It was my young kids first time in the mountains at all and they loved it. The cabin is fantastic, we particularly enjoyed the deck with the fantastic view and the hot tub right by the fire pit.

Greybeard was great, with several very friendly follow up calls prior to the stay. We had no issues and even got an early check in notification.

Location is great - centrally located between Lake Lure and Asheville proper. I was surprised how quickly we could get to downtown Asheville while still being in the middle of the woods.

My only negative - as has been mentioned here before - is the very steep driveway. We did have a minor issue getting up the first time (we have a front wheel drive Hyundai Sante Fe) but after the first time we were prepared and had no further issues. After staying a few days, enjoying all the other aspects of the cabin, and making it up the driveway without issue, it certainly became much less of a negative in my mind.

We definitely plan on staying here again in the future. Highly recommended.

Asheville is a beautiful spot and Annie's Cabin is high up in the woods. It's a great cabin, quiet and cute. Please be aware that the driveway is very steep. Directions are sent to you to help you navigate it and you need to follow them. If you aren't comfortable driving up a very steep gravel driveway, I would look at a different rental property. We left a note with a few things that are needed in the cabin, but overall, it was a wonderful week.

We enjoyed Annie's cabin so much. The details the owner put into decorating with items that have a story was a nice touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit several nights. My only complaint was the driveway... it was difficult to get a smaller car around the turn and up the incline.

We really enjoyed our stay at Annie's Cabin. It was in a convenient location to Asheville, high up enough to be scenic, yet not far from the highways. The furnishings were comfortable and clean...and so interesting to look at! It's not a bit place...just cozy...perfect for a couple or 3 or 4 people. We would definitely stay here again!

Annie's Cabin is a cute little cabin with everything you need. It was decorated with great care and flair. With that said, I did find that it was difficult to find a space to spread out a map or put things down as every space was covered with antiques and knick knacks. The location is a good 20 minutes from Asheville on a very steep road and drive which was no problem navigating. (If you bring your dog be aware there is nowhere to walk a dog.)

Annie's Cabin was a true delight! We have stayed in many cabins in the Asheville area but never out this way. It was pure heaven. There was even a little welcoming gift on the kitchen counter - the little touches were outstanding! I felt like my best friend loaned me the keys to her house. The owner put so many personal touches and family pieces in the cabin and then left a note to let you know about them. The cabin is up to date with all bathrooms and appliances. And the view from the porch is beautiful. We were so comfortable and felt snuggled in. It was just right for a weekend for just the two of us. Everything worked well - we even enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin was absolutely perfect and we cannot wait to come back and stay again.

Although the drive up to the cabin was a little harrowing the first time, finding Annie's Cabin at the end of it was a sheer delight. The cabin is well appointed, cozy, comfortable and decorated adorably. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings with a glass of wine. We already miss it!

We were very happy with our experience with Greybeard Rentals and our stay at Annie's cabin! We would definitely stay at Annie's cabin again if we visit the area in the future. The cabin was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, the appliances were in good condition, the porch was fabulous, and the space was perfect for our family of 4.

Recommend eating at \"The Local Joint\" close to the cabin and \"Pack's Tavern\" in DT Asheville. Visiting the Biltmore is a must.

Not a complaint but a recommendation- some landscaping around the cabin would be a nice touch.

We were happy with our stay!!!

Beautiful cabin - clean, spacious, and quiet at night. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the wildlife play in the trees while taking in the beautiful forest views.

Couldn't have asked for a better home to spend our vacation. Clean and in perfect condition when we arrived. Loaf of Pumpkin bread was a pleasant treat! Will surely rent from Greybeard Rentals again.

We have rented many homes for trips and were not disappointed with Annie's Cozy Cabin. The cabin was perfect for NC trip with elderly parents. Great location to Biltmore, Great Smokey Mountain National Park day trip, Blue Ridge Parkway drive, Chimney Rock State Park and Asheville. I highly recommend this cabin if you want to get away from city life and enjoy quiet mornings on patio with a great view. Working with Greybeard was exceptional and simple. Awesome & Amazing!!

Just right. The size, furnishings and location suited our vacation perfectly. Cabin was clean and well appointed. The only downside is the steep driveway and loose gravel. If I ever visit Ashville again, this will be the place I will try to reserve. Eat at the Early Girl on Wall St in Asheville, the food was awesome!

This rental had wonderful views at an incredible price. Two comfortable bedrooms, a full kitchen, and two baths left plent of space for my husband and I and my brother. The wrap-around porch was great! The pumkpin bread was a very nice touch. The drive is a bit steep, with gravel. Four-wheel drive would have been more secure, but we were able to make it up with our Hyundai Elantra. My only complaint is that the guest bedroom Sleep Number bed only worked on the right side and the tv in that room had a poor picture. Both of these I'm sure could be easily fixed and I recommend the cabin regardless.

This cabin was perfect. The view from the back porch in the fall was amazing. You could see the stars so clearly at night as well. The inside of the cabin was so cozy and warm. It was well kept up and had all of the needed amenities. The location was good..30 minutes away from Asheville and less than 10 minutes from a grocery store, etc. The stay was very enjoyable! However, I would recommended bringing your own pillows. The pillows they had were not very comfortable.

This is my third stay here and it was just perfect for the 2 of us. I went with my best friend from high school and she had her own bedroom and bath and so did I. It was clean, neat and everything worked just fine except for the Select Comfort controls in the Master Bedroom....needs new battery??? I like that everything is on one floor...has a nice large deck and it located near Asheville or you can make a day trip by going to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. I love having Wi-Fi for my ipad and smart phone...sure saves on data usage. It is a quiet area...very peaceful.

Our entire stay was wonderful. The cabin is ideal for one or two couples.
The cabin was incredibly well appointed. It is clear that a great deal of thought and care went into into furnishing and equipping the home. There was not a thing lacking.

We were very happy with the cabin and our stay. The cabin had everything that we could possibly need, and more. Only exception was that the grounds in front and sides of the deck were very overgrown and unruly. If it is not trimmed and cleaned up, it will soon take over the deck and block out the lovely view. The bird feeders are designed for finches but were filled with sunflower seeds and so, the birds, large or small could not get the seeds out. The Ballards and Dolins.

This cabin is great for 2 couples or 2 people who want their own bedroom and bathroom. If you want peace and quiet you have it here. If you want to watch TV you can do so in each bedroom and in the family room. If you want to problem...there is a fully stocked kitchen complete with dishwasher, microwave and fridge. There are books to read and games to play. If you want to grill out that is available too. There is something here for everyone. It's a great little cabin that has a wonderful deck with an outstanding view.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Annie's Cabin is located in Fairview. This home is approximately 20 minutes to downtown Asheville and 30 minutes to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

This property offers a flexible cancellation policy that differs from the standard cancellation policy. The policy for this home is the moderate policy. The terms of the policy are as stated: Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Annie's Cabin is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash. 

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Annie's Cabin has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE? 

Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store.

Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Annie's Cabin. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
