Property Highlights

Angie’s is centrally located and the perfect spot to enjoy everything the Asheville area has to offer: 20 minutes to downtown, 20 minutes to the Biltmore Estate, 25 minutes to Black Mountain, 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 30 minutes to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. All families are welcome at Angie’s!

AMENITIES
Enjoy gorgeous year-round views of the surrounding mountains and stunning sunsets from the screened-in porch and deck areas of our spacious 3-level, 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath home, privately situated on nearly four acres. Unwind upstairs while friends and family are downstairs in the game room.

Angie’s was designed for the enjoyment of the outdoors with both outdoor dining and lounge seating, six-person mountain view hot tub, gas grill, and fire pit.

Your four-legged family members are welcome to join you on your mountain adventure! We provide two 36” dog crates, food and water bowls, and plenty of pet blankets. Limit two pets, please.

Remain connected on your vacation, if you must, with high-speed cable internet by Spectrum (400 Mbps download/20 Mbps upload speeds) and mesh WiFi system with four access points to ensure a consistently strong connection anywhere in the home. Our home also features a dedicated work area with an incredible view of the surrounding woodlands and is equipped with a fully-stocked desk, Herman Miller Aeron ergonomic chair, and printer. All televisions have access to a 125+ channel cable TV package and available HDMI connections if you choose to bring your own devices.

Headed to Angie’s in your electric vehicle? Enjoy complimentary EV charging on our 40 amp charger with J1772 connector. Tesla owners: be sure to bring your adapter.

HOUSE LAYOUT
Main floor: The front door opens to a well-equipped, fully modern kitchen and dining room with seating for ten. Living room with 55” 4K smart TV that seats four. Main suite with king bed, private bath with walk-in shower, and access to screened-in porch with pristine views. Access to the powder room is just off the living room.

Upper level: Ascend the elegant spiral staircase to an office area, kitchenette, and dining area for four. Family room with 65” 4K smart TV, gas log fireplace, and a comfy six-seater sectional couch for movie night. Second bedroom with king bed and third bedroom with queen bed. These two bedrooms share a full bath with a walk-in shower.

Lower level: Tavern-style game room with slate-bed pool table, bar height games table, dart board, large couch, and 55” 4K smart TV. Bonus room with two twin bunk beds for up to four children, full bath with tub, adult exercise room with weight bench, sports equipment, and Peloton exercise bike, and laundry.

ANGIE’S STORY
Our mom Angie loved bringing the family together for holidays and vacations, even as adults, and especially after the grandchildren came. She wanted to share the beauty of the Asheville area with those she most cared about. We know that this home would be at the top of her list of places to stay. The extended family enjoyed many adventures in the area, including hiking, river tubing, sightseeing, breweries, and shopping. At the end of the day, we were able to come back to a comfortable retreat that encouraged us to relax and spend time talking about our day while enjoying the beautiful natural environment the area is known for. We hope that our home will create some of those same memories for your family.

Please note: The road up to Angie’s is narrow and steep, but paved. There are blind corners, neighbors walking, and children playing. Please drive slowly and with caution. The speed limit is 15 mph.

FAQ

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Angie's Mountain Overlook is located in Fairview. This home is approximately 20 minutes to Asheville and 30 minutes to Chimney Rock. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Angie's Mountain Overlook is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Angie's Mountain Overlook has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm. 

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and select option 1, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Angie's Mountain Overlook has an indoor gas logs fireplace. Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months. 

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD PROVIDED?

Angie's Mountain Overlook has an outdoor fire pit. While firewood is not supplied by Greybeard, some houses may have a small leftover supply of firewood for renter use. However, we strongly recommend purchasing your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store. Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited, but you can use limbs found on the ground. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Angie's Mountain Overlook.  It is equipped with high-speed cable internet by Spectrum (400 Mbps download/20 Mbps upload speeds) and mesh Wi-Fi system with four access points to ensure a consistently strong connection anywhere in the home. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.

Angie's Mountain Retreat is beautiful! We loved all the details that made our stay joyful and relaxing, especially the hot tub, pool table, exercise room, and multiple gathering areas. The view is gorgeous!!! We would definitely stay here again.

The house is beautiful, with a great location and a well-stocked kitchen and great wifi for our kids to continue with their online learning. The owners have done a great job of providing all the house instructions online by category, which we found very helpful.

We rented this property to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. It was an awesome place for the family to relax, spend quality time together and celebrate. The deck and screened porch were awesome. The sunset views magical. The home was very well done and we were very impressed with special touches added by the property owners. Greybeard Rentals was awesome to work with too.
