The annual Bark & Bolt 5K and 1-Mile returns to Hendersonville's Patton Park on Saturday, August 1, 2026. This unique race allows dogs and their owners to celebrate physical fitness and outdoor activity together. Don't have a dog? You're still welcome to participate!
Course Options:
- The 5K course is a scenic, out-and-back route that follows the Oklawaha Greenway. While there are some moderate hills, the majority of the course is flat.
- The 1-mile race is paved, follows the Greenway, and has one hill just before the finish.
- The Paw Pursuit 100 Meter Dash is the shortest race for the most well-behaved pups. It’s a quick sprint where dogs run alongside their owners to demonstrate their speed and agility.
While a summer morning with cute dogs is a big draw already, participants will also receive a free performance race shirt when they register before July 6th and a custom finisher medal that SPINS! Be sure to stick around after the race for the Bark in the Park Dog Fair. Filled with pup-sitively pet-friendly vendors, the entire event is sure to be a tail-wagging experience for all!
