This home is available to rent monthly with an additional cleaning fee and a refundable security deposit (added on after booking). Included in the monthly rental rate is a $400 monthly power allowance and a $100 monthly water allowance. Any overages are to be reimbursed by the tenant. The homeowner keeps a car parked at the side of the fence.

I loved the decor and the layout, and the back porch was wonderful. The beds were a little firm for me, so I slept on the couch in front of the TV. That couch is so comfortable! The location was excellent—close to everything.

We enjoyed our 9 days in this cozy home, which was very well stocked with amenities and thoughtful touches. The weather cooperated beautifully so we (and our lab) could enjoy the sunny front porch. We especially enjoyed our daily walks around the neighborhood, marveling at the majestic trees. Close to the town center, yet feels tucked away. Would have liked a good reading lamp and easy chair in the house - maybe something to consider for future guests. All in all a great stay!

Overall

Lovely, clean, well-appointed little home. We loved the location for walking into town each day. And the privacy of the front porch was perfect. Beds were very comfortable and the furnishings and decorations made for a very cozy and enjoyable stay. We would absolutely return to this lovely hideaway.

Hydrangea Hideaway is an excellent rental property. Very nicely decorated and all updated kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures. The kitchen was well equipped and the lines all very clean and neat. Plus, a very nice, quiet neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. I enjoyed being so close to town. Plus, I appreciated being able to bring my pet dog, Poppy, and having a safe fenced backyard for her to romp and play in. There was a small issue with the AC when I arrived, but it was taken care of immediately by the very professional and efficient maintenance staff. I would most definitely stay at Hydrangea Hideaway again when I return to visit Black Mountain.

start with the communication from Greybeard. Clear and very helpful. Loved everything about our stay. The house was very clean, well equipped and located in a quiet neighborhood within a 20 minute walk of town. The town itself is close enough to the Biltmore and other Ashville attractions to provide easy access. Chimney Rock and other natural sites and hiking trails are close by. Plenty of restaurants, bars & shops in town. Bottom line is the house and the town were perfect for our purposes ( dog loved the fenced yard ). Thanks

We've been renting from Greybeard for about 5 years, now. All the rentals we've stayed in have been wonderful, but we really enjoyed this house being one level. We felt connected with our family, but also had plenty of space, and privacy. The location can't be beat, and the neighborhood is quiet and charming. Absolutely love that it's pet friendly, and has a fenced backyard, and a great deck. We're already talking about renting this house again. Thanks for sharing your wonderful home with us!

We loved staying at the Hydrangea Hideaway. So convenient to everything we wanted to do in Black Mountain and Montreat. It was very clean, cute, and comfortable for our family of 6 + dog. Such a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Would definitely recommend!

The friendliness of the neighbors, plus the peace and quiet. The location of the house was excellent. Very nice area with great views. My family and I really enjoyed our time.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Hydrangea Hideaway is located in Black Mountain and is less than a 5-minute drive and 15-minute walk to its downtown area, and it's approximately a 25-minute drive to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Hydrangea Hideaway is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Hydrangea Hideaway has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and select option 1, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Hydrangea Hideaway. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
