Asheville Area Restaurants Open on Thanksgiving Day

It’s the most wonderful time of the year–the holiday season! Are you planning a Thanksgiving retreat to the mountains and wondering what your options are for Turkey Day? We’ve compiled a list below of our favorite local restaurants that will be open on Thanksgiving Day for dine-in and takeout. 

Many restaurants are offering prix-fixe menus for a memorable dine-in experience or pre-ordered meals that can be picked up the day before, so you can bring the feast back to your fabulous vacation home. We highly recommend checking the restaurant’s website for details and making reservations: 

Bargello

• Where: 7 Patton Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
• When: Open from 12 to 8 PM on Thanksgiving
• What: Bargello will be offering a four-course Italian and Mediterranean-inspired family-style menu on Thanksgiving with all the classics—turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and more. The menu is priced at $89 for adults and $49 for children (plus tax + gratuity).

Blue Mountain Pizza and Brewery

• Where: 55 N Main St, Weaverville, NC 28787
• When: Open from 11 AM to 2:30 PM on Thanksgiving
• What: Instead of serving their traditional pizza and pasta menu, Blue Mountain will host its annual Free Community Thanksgiving Dinner for those in need of food or company. 

The Bier Garden 

• Where: 46 Haywood Street, Asheville, NC, 28801
• When: Open from 11 AM to 11 PM on Thanksgiving
• What: The Bier Garden will be hosting a celebratory Thanksgiving feast, which can be paired with their impressive selection of over 200 beers from around the world.

The Blackbird 

• Where: 47 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC, 28801
• When: Open from 10 AM to 8 PM on Thanksgiving
• What: The Blackbird will be hosting a special three-course Thanksgiving menu with options that include local Candy Roaster bisque, local Sage-Brined Smoked Turkey, and Pecan Pie Bread Pudding with Brown Honey Sugar Sauce. They even have a simple menu of Turkey, Potatoes, Green Beans, Pan Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, and a Scoop of Hand-Crafted Ice Cream for kids under 12. 

Fork Lore 

• Where: 43 Town Square Blvd, Asheville, NC 28803
• When: Open for Breakfast from 6:30 to 11 AM, Thanksgiving meal from 11:30 AM to 4 PM, and limited menu from 4 to 9 PM.  
• What: Fork Lore will serve a classic family-style Thanksgiving meal from 11:30 AM to 4 PM. Reservations recommended and can be made by calling 828-209-2715

Glass Onion Tavern

• Where: 18 N Main St, Weaverville, NC 28787
• When: Open from noon to 5 PM on Thanksgiving
• What: This beloved tavern in the heart of downtown Weaverville will be serving up a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in addition to its full menu. Reservations open on November 1. 

Moose Cafe

• Where: 570 Brevard Rd, Asheville, NC 28806
• When: Open from 11 AM to 4 PM.  
• What: Moose Cafe will be offering dine-in and take-out on Thanksgiving with package meals that include Roast Turkey, Cornbread Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Turkey Gravy, Green Beans, and Sweet Potato Soufflé. 

Pack's Tavern 

• Where: 20 S Spruce St, Asheville, NC 28801
• When: Open from 11 AM to 7 PM.  
• What: Pack’s Tavern is offering a Thanksgiving Day Buffet that includes Turkey, Ham, Maple-Whipped Mashed Potatoes, and a Dessert Trio. Reservations open on October 1, 2025, and if you join their brand-new Loyalty & Rewards Program, you’ll get points back for every dollar spent and first dibs on Thanksgiving reservations!

Post 25 Kitchen & Lounge 

• Where: 2155 Hendersonville Road, Arden, NC 28704
• When: Open from 11 AM to 8 PM on Thanksgiving; To-go platters must be ordered by Friday, November 21. 
• What: In a family of restaurants with East Village Grille, Filo, and Post 70, this South Asheville eatery will be offering a special Thanksgiving dinner that includes a first course of Butternut Chai Bisque or Harvest Salad, a Main Course option of Thanksgiving Classics, Prime Rib, or House Special, and a Dessert Choice of Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Pie, or Flourless Chocolate Torte, all for $52 per person. They're also offering to-go platter options if you want to enjoy a home-cooked meal in your vacation rental without doing any of the cooking!  

 Pre-Order Thanksgiving To-Go Options: 

Beradu

• Where: 404 E State St, Suite B, Black Mountain, NC 28711
• When: Pick up is on Wednesday, November 26, in hour increments between 1and 6 PM 
• What: This local specialty market and kitchen in the heart of Cheshire Village is offering Whole Turkeys, Sides (including Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Garlic Herb Green Beans), and Charcuterie Boards (with Imported Cheeses, Cured Meats, Olives, Fruits, Nuts, and Crackers) for pre-order. 

The Red Radish

• Where: 2 E Market Street, Suite A-B, Black Mountain, NC
• When: All orders must be placed and confirmed by 2 PM on Monday, November 24; Pick up is on Wednesday, November 26, from 1and 6 PM 
• What: This local catering company is offering Whole Turkeys, Grilled Beef Tenderloin by the pound, Sides (including Cornbread Stuffing with NC apple, RR Famous Mac and Cheese, and Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes), Sauces like Gingered Cranberry Sauce and Cremini Mushroom Gravy, and Homemade Classic Desserts like Pumpkin Cheesecake and Grandma's Apple Pie for pre-order. 

Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack 

• Where: 1455 Patton Ave in Asheville; 3749 Sweeten Creek Road in Arden. 
• When: Place orders online before Saturday, November 22, and pick up from Tuesday, November 25, and Wednesday, November 26.
• What: Down-home Thanksgiving menu of appetizers, sides, and desserts with our personal favorite options that include Deviled Eggs with Candied Bacon, Collard Greens, Roasted Chicken Gravy, and Coca-Cola cake.  

Red Fiddle Vittles 

• Where: 1800 Hendersonville Road, Asheville, NC 28803
• When: Place orders online before Wednesday, November 19, and pick up on Wednesday, November 26, between 10 AM and 5 PM
• What: Red Fiddle Vittles is offering holiday pre-order items in their standard 2-3 serving portions (with an option for larger quantities if you're feeding a crowd). Main dish options include a Joyce Farms Turkey with Rich Herb Gravy, Sorghum Glazed Hickory Nut Gap Farms Ham with Apricot Chutney,  Roasted Quail with Cornbread Stuffing & Cide Glaze, and Stuffed Baby Pumpkins with Wild Rice, Cranberries, Shiitake Mushrooms, and Herbs, alongside mouthwatering sides, salads, and desserts. 

Sunny Point Cafe

• Where: 626 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806
• When: Pre-order your Thanksgiving meal for 6 online! Pickup will be on Tuesday, November 25, or Wednesday, November 26, between 9 AM and 2 PM at their neighboring bakery, Rabbit Hole. 
• What: Sunny Point Cafe in West Asheville will be offering appetizers, an entree, and dessert for $275. The meal consists of Spinach Dip with crackers, Crab Dip with crackers, a 5lb Roasted Turkey Breast, Turkey Gravy,  Mashed Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Corn Bread Pudding, Cranberry Sauce, Sweet Potato Casserole (pecan topping), Rolls, and Apple Slab Pie. Heating instructions are included!

Luella’s Bar-B-Que

• Where: 501 Merrimon Avenue (North location); 33 Town Square Blvd. Suite 110 (South location in Biltmore Park)
• When: Upon checkout on the pre-order form, you will be able to choose a pickup day and time for Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
• What: Luella’s offers an entire Thanksgiving store with tons of options. Their Thank-Fully Complete Meal Includes a Cider-Brined Smoked Turkey, Grandma Lue's Real Turkey Gravy, Fresh Apple-Cranberry Relish, choice of three Family-Sized Sides, and choice of Dessert, which serves an estimated 12 - 14 folks. Side options include Smashed Yukon Gold Potatoes, Mac ’n Hoop Cheese, Katherine's Sweet Potato Casserole with Brown Sugar Crumb Topping, and Savory Cornbread & Smoked Sausage Stuffing. Dessert choices include Fresh Pumpkin Pie or Luella's Banana Pudding. They also have Tempeh Wings, Chile-Rubbed Beef Brisket, and a Ribeye Roast with Cranberry-Molasses glaze in their shop if turkey isn’t your fave.  

Pies + Dessert

All Day Darling 

• Where: 102 Montford Ave, Asheville, NC 28801
• When: Orders can be placed through Saturday, November 22, via email at bakery@alldaydarlingavl.com.
• What: This hip & laid-back Montford eatery is offering holiday pies (including gluten-free options) and dinner rolls for pre-order. Favorites include a pumpkin pie with a browned butter and sage crust, classic apple pie, and Hawaiian dinner rolls. 

Baked Pie Company

• Where: 4 Long Shoals Road, Suite A, Arden,  NC
• When: Thanksgiving pre-orders open on October 14 and can be placed online or over the phone. Pick-up will be on Tuesday, November 25, from 11 AM to 6 PM and on Wednesday, November 26, from 11 AM to 4 PM. 
• What: This specialty pie company offers a delectable array of pies that include Apple, Pumpkin, Honey Pecan, Chocolate Bourbon Pecan, Cherry, Pumpkin Marshmallow, Cranberry Cheesecake, Whiskey Silk, and Coconut Cream. They also offer Vegan & Gluten-free options so everyone in your group can indulge!

Old Europe Pastries

• Where: 18 Broadway Street, Asheville, NC 28801
• When: Open on Thanksgiving with limited hours until  2 PM. If interested in ordering whole/custom cakes for Thanksgiving, there is at least a 72-hour minimum, but you’re encouraged to place the order ASAP. 
• What: Old Europe is a dessert destination that blends traditional French and European baking techniques with comforting flavors that feel like home. Their menu offers everything from cakes to pies to cookies to macarons, and everything in between. Popular items include their Carrot Cake, Pot de Crème, and Hazelnut Napoleon. 

City Bakery

• Where: 88 Charlotte Street, Asheville, NC 28801
• When: Pre-order your Thanksgiving rolls, pies, and bread by Saturday, November 22. Pickup will be on Wednesday, November 26, between 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM.
• What: City Bakery will be offering Thanksgiving baked goods that include 5 different kinds of pies, stuffing bread, 4 different kinds of rolls, and 11 different kinds of breads. While they're all delicious, we highly recommend the Cranberry Sage Rolls and the Salted Caramel Apple Pie! 

Butter Punk

• Where: 372 Depot Street, Suite 50, Asheville, NC 28801
• When: Pick up will be on Saturday, November 22, through Wednesday, November 26, from 8 AM to 2 PM.  
• What: This relaxed bakery in the heart of RAD is dishing out Thanksgiving pies like Salted Caramel Pecan, Brown Buttermilk Custard, and Pumpkin Chocolate Mousse in addition to biscuits and schmears like Pimento Cheese, Apple Butter, and Creme Fraiche Whip.
