This home boasts woodland surroundings and a small U-pick garden featuring seasonal blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries!

Important to Note: This home does not allow pets. The gas fireplace is operable from September to May. The waterfall feature is shut off and winterized from December to April. Satellite Wi-Fi may be limited, especially in inclement weather. While 4WD is not required, a high-clearance vehicle is strongly recommended due to the gravel road access.

My stay was work related. I enjoyed the peace and quiet after a long day in the field working. The house was well equipped, and I was able to relax and unwind. I would definitely recommend as it is convenient to Hendersonville, Brevard, and Asheville.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this property. Nice and secluded in Mills River. We saw lots of deer and enjoyed all the outdoor views from the living room with large windows. Our daughter particular loved the water feature on the back deck.

Home is beautiful, well stocked, in a great location, and so peaceful! We loved our stay and truly enjoyed the peace and quiet in the woods :) Did not want to leave! Gorgeous home.

Overall, we had a great stay. The house was just the right size for our family of four, comfortable, private and quiet. Our son enjoyed the bunk beds and we rented a crib from BabyQuip for our baby. The water feature was very pleasant to see and hear. Critiques would be: kitchen could be better equipped with bowls, Tupperware, kid friendly dishes. Supply more dishwasher soap. Clean a bit more thoroughly (dust and floors in particular). Window treatments in the living room to block direct sun in the morning (makes it difficult to be in kitchen and dining room). Window treatment in primary bathroom to provide sense of privacy. More pillow cases. Thank you!

We had a lovely time! We love Hendersonville and this home was located just 15 minutes away! We hiked at Gorges State Park and Chimney Rock State Park- both were easy 50 minute drives. The house was very comfortable and loved the welcoming package with a few necessities to get you started with your stay!

We absolutely loved this house. It was in the perfect location for hitting all of our destinations. We drove every day to different locations for hiking, waterfalls, apple orchards, restaurants, breweries, kids activities, and more! We seriously fit SO much in because this house was 30 mins to everything. Downtown Asheville wasn't important to us, so I liked how it was quick to get around the outskirts. The house was very clean and quiet. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The kitchen and appliances were top notch. We used the fireplace nonstop. Unfortunately, the waterfall feature doesn't run when temps are cold, so we didn't get to enjoy that - only downside. I liked the keyless entry and felt very safe. The bathtub was great for kids (as well as the bunk bed room) and the master shower was amazing! Also, having a smart tv to log into at night for shows, was a nice bonus. Overall, we would stay here again in an instant. The rental company did a nice job communicating before, during, and after. Five stars all around!!

The house was impeccably clean and comfortable for our family of 4. The setting is quiet and private, yet a good "home base" for activities in the Asheville area.

Falling water went above and beyond our expectations. The house felt like home to our family immediately, the outdoor space is everything we'd been looking for. Secluded yet close to plenty of stores and breweries, had space for our kids to play and explore. It was absolutely beautifully kept up as well. We will definitely be back.

The home is lovely- nicely outfitted. Peaceful as well and we enjoyed seeing the deer each morning and evening. Very private.

The house is beautiful, comfortable and love the outdoor spaces! Coffee on the front porch in the morning watching the sunrise, drinks on the back deck by the amazing water feature. Private and serene but easy access to Mills River Brewery, Burning Blush Winery, Ingles and outdoor activities. Loved it!

This was the perfect cabin for us. It was modern, very clean, secluded yet close to things. It was well stocked with everything we needed during our stay and the property was so serene. The back deck was the perfect place to hang out for our family and cozy up in the living room by the fireplace. We saw a bunch of deer out back! We will definitely stay here again!

This property was so beautiful & peaceful. You really can't beat the location! Secluded, yet still a quick drive to grocery store. Super close to Sierra Nevada, and even closer to like 4 other breweries/cider places. Very clean inside & very practical for a vacation home. The back deck is gorgeous! We loved it! I also booked it the day before we checked in, and everything was super smooth.

If I had to give a Con, it would be that the beds weren't the most comfortable, and that there were tons of stink bugs and spiders around - but that's also very typical of the Fall in the South, so no sweat for us.

FAQs

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Falling Waters Cabin is located in Mills River just 10 minutes from the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center that hosts the annual Mountain State Fair and 15 minutes from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and the Asheville Regional Airport.

It’s also just 15 minutes from Hendersonville, 20 minutes south of Arden and 20 minutes north of Brevard, and 35 minutes from Asheville’s city center, where you’ll find the famous Biltmore Estate, Grove Arcade, and River Arts District. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Falling Waters Cabin is not “pet friendly.” Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Falling Waters Cabin has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm. 

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months. 

Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Falling Waters Cabin. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
