Get DirectionsThis July, Waynesville will once again host its annual Folkmoot International Dance & Music Festival. The word Folkmoot is translated from Old English to mean “Meeting of the People,” and this festival certainly provides plenty of opportunity for cultural exchange. Audiences are invited to meet the performers before and after performances and during other Festival events. In Folkmoot’s decades of history, the organization has hosted close to 8,000 international performers from 200+ countries.
Enjoy the colorful performances and music on display at the Parade of Nations, starting on Saturday at 10 AM, which follows Main Street in downtown Waynesville and Many Cultures Day complete with international crafts and a variety of delicious food.
