This town-home is a great mountain get-away. 5-7 minutes to Black Mountain and 20 minutes to Asheville. Long- range views! Steep, short driveway leads to double car garage providing easy entry. Layout all on the main: Living room with stone fireplace. The sun-room has large windows with views over the entire valley. The master bedroom/bathroom has plenty of space and a nice Jacuzzi tub and also walk in shower. Second bedroom with queen, third bedroom with 2 twins and hall bath. Upstairs loft has a pullout sleeper sofa. For your convenience, all linens including sheets and towels are provided. Red Plum has a 3 night minimum stay.

Red Plum Townhome just as described. Very clean and comfortable. My wife enjoyed sitting in the sun room. Great mountain view from breakfast table in kitchen. Only suggestion we have is that trees be trimmed in front of sunroom to provide a better view. We definitely want stay here again in the future.

My children and I had a wonderful time at Red plumb. We first visited in 2021, and this was our 2nd stay. It was emotional for us to return, because this was the first time we would be vacationing without my wife / their mom. Sadly, we lost her to cancer in August 2024. She loved Red plumb, as we all did, and it was therapeutic for us to revisit and sort of re-experience things that made us happy before. We will be returning, as we enjoy the natural beauty of the area, as well as the warmth of the people in the town and neighborhood. Thank you very much.

We had a great stay with our family over the holiday weekend. We would definitely stay here again. It was relatively close to everything Black Mountain & Asheville related. Rated the rental as excellent. Pros - beautiful mountain location, spacious rental, garage parking with garage door openers, washer and dryer on-site, super nice deck, very clean, fully stocked kitchen (dishes, pots and pans, etc), easy entry through garage. CONS - super steep road into driveway, lots and lots of decor so not super toddler friendly, a bit dated. We would stay here again, it’s just all personal preference.

Clean home, well stocked kitchen, and comfortable bed. Even though a town home, it felt private and neighborhood was very quiet. We had our coffee on the deck every morning enjoying the view. Black Mountain is a nice town to visit with many great restaurants and shops. Black Mountain is located a short drive to other towns and attractions. Red Plum has a “home away from home” feel. I would definitely recommend it!

Red Plum had everything we could ask for to meet our needs. We loved the town of Black Mountain and even the neighbors were nice! Beds were comfortable and all plumbing was in excellent shape. My only challenge was the HVCA but it was fall when the nights were very cool and we needed heat and the days were sunny and very warm so we needed AC. We finally realized we just had to change the mode each morning and night. Thank you to the owners for offering such a nice place.

Amazing visit to beautiful Black Mountain. Fell in love with this little mountain town and the festive spirit in the downtown area. Incredible views from the property, especially the wonderful deck and sunroom. Ideal location for quick visits to Asheville, Chimney Rock, and other nearby destinations - as well as longer trips to the high country for skiing. Also can't say enough good things about Greybeard Rentals and their exceptional customer service...very responsive and accommodating. We'll be back!

For Christmas this year, my adult children and I decided to have a little getaway to Black Mountain instead of exchanging gifts. We've been to Black Mtn before and it was high on our list to return to. We waited a little too long to start looking so there was not a lot of dog friendly rentals left. After searching Airbnb & VRBO extensively, I decided to do a Google search for \"Black Mtn pet friendly\" and Greybeard/Red Plum came up. It was just what we were looking for. We loved Red Plum from the moment we walked in the door! It had everything and more. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen applicants & utensils, cozy living room with gas fireplace, bright sunroom, and that amazing mountain view! After staying four nights we all wished we could stay longer. We had a few small hiccups but Greybeard was easy to reach and responded quickly to fix the issue. We will definitely return to Red Plum and will use Greybeard again for other rentals.

The views from the back porch and sitting room were amazing! The fall leaves were stunning and the valley was so colorful. The couch, chairs and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked although without a toaster. We will be back!

The view from our house was amazing, and thankfully there was an enclosed sunroom that allowed us to enjoy the view even when we wanted to escape the weather.

Very spacious and lovely condo. It was very clean and convenient to BM and Asheville. Driveway is very steep, but that's my only complaint. View is fabulous.

We stayed 30 days from mid-Aug thru mid Sept. The house was fully appointed and well maintained. Initially there were some TV and wifi issues due to electrical storms, which the owners immediately took care of. This was our 4th 30 day rental and the best experience by far. As golfers we enjoyed having the local course two minutes away.

The Red Plum at a great location with lotsa space for 2 cars in the garage. We enjoyed the long range views of the mountains while having our meals. There was enough room for us to do our own thing in the house when we felt like it. The complimentary pumpkin bread from Greybeard was delicious. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, crockery, bakeware, pots n pans. We couldn't find the cutting knife though. We had a great experience and will definitely recommend it to friends. Hope to return too.

The town home was very clean and well kept. Only a couple of comments. If you have pets, there is no grassy area to walk them around the town home. You will need to walk down the road to find a grassy area. The sheets were on the bed in the master but not the other two rooms. The sheets in the back spare room had a musty smell and had to be washed to be able to use them. Other than those two small problems, the town home was clean and quiet with beautiful views of the mountains from any room in the rear of the home.

Red Plum Town Home is located in Black Mountain. This home is approximately 10 minutes to downtown Black Mountain and 25 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

This property offers a flexible cancellation policy that differs from the standard cancellation policy. The policy for this home is the moderate policy. The terms of the policy are as stated: Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Red Plum Town Home is not “pet friendly”. Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Red Plum Town Home has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months.

Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Red Plum Town Home. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.
