Take a deep breath and relax in the lush comforts of Pinnacle View. From its perch near the top of Allen Mountain, this home offers the convenience of being 8 minutes away from downtown Black Mountain paired with sweeping views of the Valley. The moment you step out of your car and onto the river rock driveway, walk up the front steps with ivy creeping up the posts, and through the walnut door, you'll feel like you're within the pages of a fairytale.

The open floor plan living space provides you with the perfect setting for your group. Enjoy a nice whiskey or crisp chardonnay as you gather in front of the gas fireplace. As your dinner of roasted potatoes and steak sizzles on the gas range or the gas grill, finish prepping your salad on the light granite countertops. A custom connoisseur dream with black cabinets and plenty of space to prepare, you may not want to dine anywhere else.

However, if you're feeling in the mood for someone else to prepare your meal, grab some takeout from La Guinguette, a restaurant in Black Mountain specializing in savory crepes and enchiladas, and relish your time together. If you can pull yourself away from the view, venture out to explore the beauty and wonder of Western North Carolina. Hike the nearby trails in Montreat, the Lookout trail offers stunning views of the Swannanoa Valley, or head down the mountain to Catawba Falls to capture a lovely waterfall and natural pool. After a morning of exploring, head back home for a brief respite before going into Asheville for the evening.

Roam the vibrant streets downtown, browsing the locally curated shops, and galleries. Dine at Strada Italiano or try to snag a table at their sister restaurant, The Social Lounge, and enjoy delicious Italian food and cocktails on a rooftop locale. Start with delectable Tuscan figs, move to their signature Grilled Florentine Ravioli or Porchetta, and finish with a classic cannoli. If you're up for more time in Asheville, wander over to one of the many breweries downtown and sample our claim to the Beer City name.

Overall

We enjoyed our stay with our grandchildren downstairs with their parents with them. The furniture was so comfortable which we appreciated. And the view is beautiful looking north toward the black mountains. A beautifully detailed cottage with very nice mouldings. Thank you, Greybeard.

What a simply beautiful house! This was our first trip to North Carolina and thought we would see more of Ashville, but didn't want to leave this house. The views were beyond specular, the house was immaculate and had everything you could want and more. We had a slight problem with the TV, completely our fault, yet Grey Beard sent someone out to fix it for us. That's going above and beyond!! we will for sure be renting from them again and can't wait to get back to this house in Blackbear.

Pinnacle View is a wonderful rental home. We really enjoyed our stay. the quality of the home, the furnishings, and the kitchen are all much nicer than a typical rental vacation home. Most of all, the view is incredible. We will hopefully be back.

Loved the view, comfort, and spotless condition of the place. Kitchen amenities were perfect for our Thanksgiving week meal prep, and all bedrooms/bathrooms were comfortable and clean. Heated bathroom floors and plentiful hot water were a plus! Thoroughly enjoyed the back porch - views were amazing. Quaint town of Black Mountain was a nice surprise, with easy access to Asheville as well. Great spot.

The house we stayed in was fabulous! Very clean which made us feel very safe in these times. A great location for hiking and dinner in the evening. We will definitely stay here again!

We have rented in Black Mountain for 12 years and this home exceeds our expectations. Everything is top class from the furnishings to the deck with a fire block to amazing views. We loved all of our time on the deck enjoying the beautiful mountains. We have already booked to return next year. And as usual we had top notch attention from Greybeard.

I had been wanting to try your rental company for awhile after hearing about it and exploring your website. Our stay and the rental process were even better than expected! The house was beautiful, the pictures didn't do the view justice. The house was the cleanest rental I've ever stayed in. The company communicated everything thoroughly and clearly. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much and will use Greybeard rentals from now on!

Our family's week retreat at The Pinnacle View in Black Mountain, NC was absolutely perfect! The location of the home was very convenient to the charming town of Black Mountain, yet located privately with a magnificent view of the mountains. The home was beautifully appointed with all the amenities needed to have a restful or busy vacation. The newly furnished home with three bedrooms and baths were wonderfully decorated. A fun feature, frequently used, was an outside private shower with a view of the mountains. Even though we just wanted to just sit and relax looking at the mountain view from the porch, the cell phone and Internet service was exceptional at the home. We used our bluetooth speakers to play relaxing music while we enjoyed some family porch time.
The town center with shopping, restaurants, a recreation center with a pool and tennis offered our group of varying ages many choices. We enjoyed a trip to the DuPont State Forest near Brevard to hike and view the falls. The Chihuly exhibit at the Biltmore was just a short distance away and was exquisite. Susan and the Greybear staff provided us with excellent service from beginning to end and were always available to answer questions. Especially nice, was the Hospitality App that we could download on our phone with pertinent information about the area. In mentioning our rental with Greybeard we were given a discount at Roots and Fruits Market. This was our Best Family Retreat Ever!!! Thank you Greybeard and the owner of the Pinnacle View for sharing your home.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Pinnacle View is located in Black Mountain. This home is about 7 minutes to downtown Black Mountain and approximately 25 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

This property offers a flexible cancellation policy that differs from the standard cancellation policy. The policy for this home is the moderate policy. The terms of the policy are as stated: Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Pinnacle View has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months.

Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Pinnacle View Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
