Beautiful home with amazing views

We spent a week at High Lake Lodge and couldn't have felt more at home. What a perfect place for a family vacation. The amenities were fantastic and the home is very kid-friendly with tons of games (air hockey, ping pong, board games), puzzles, and coloring supplies. We cooked many meals at home, enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace almost every evening, and enjoyed the supplied s'mores ingredients. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the town of Black Mountain is so quaint and has plenty of fantastic restaurants and shops. The proximity to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate was also great.

We loved our stay here! We’ve stayed in a lot of rentals and this is hands down our favorite. Amazing view, beautiful house, stocked very well. The kids had a blast and we did too. Appreciate all the thought out details. If you have little kids beware there’s not a stair gate for the open stairs. We will be back for sure! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Pictures are usually deceiving but not this time!! The view was amazing and the cabin was stocked with all the essential and more!! From coffee creamer and sweeteners to extra toothbrushes and laundry supplies. It was all unexpected but so appreciated! The drive up was doable, I’ve definitely experienced worse, I’d recommend parking reversed in the driveway to make your departure less stressful! Overall, great place will hopefully be back again!

This was one of the best vacations I have ever had! The house was beyond anything I could imagine. The pictures were beautiful but did not compare to the beauty of this house in person. We had everything we needed for the long weekend, which included hosting a private chef with the fully equipped kitchen. The views were breathtaking! The house was stocked and decorated so thoughtfully, I cannot say enough good things about this place. We made unforgettable memories here and will be back again!

Overall

This is a fabulous home to rent. Many thanks to the owners who thought of everything to be sure all who stay have everything they could possibly need. The view was fantastic! Even when the clouds moved in and hid the valley and mountains we had fun watching as patches of sun would peek through. We the. watched as slivers of the clouds turned pink with the setting sun. The kids loved the play campfire and swings, and the assorted coloring books and crayons we especiallly welcome! What a great idea to have sticks for roasting marshmallows. And we were all so appreciative of the firewood and soaking tub. The home’s decor and high end kitchen were wonderful. We will always remember this little vacation and are talking about the next time we might stay! Many thanks!!

Everything; the incredible view; the house was very well appointed; top notch everything, including appliances; ping pong table; air hockey; kitchenette/bar in playroom; hot tub ... I could go on! And Greybeard Rental was very helpful and responsive, and the owners were very thoughtful.
