You're sure to never forget your vacation time spent at "Forget Me Not" cabin! Unwind with the endless mountain views and watch beautiful sunsets at dusk and star gazing at night around the outdoor fire table on the deck or fire pit in the yard. This charming 2 bedroom, 2 bath log cabin makes you feel like you're stepping back in time, but with the convenience of modern amenities. Be our guest at Forget Me Not. We promise it will be a vacation that you will never forget!

Nestled in the Pisgah National Forest, this cozy cabin is in the perfect location with a short drive from world-famous Christmas tree farms, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Linville Falls and Caverns, Grandfather Mountain, Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain ski resorts, Emerald Village Gem Mining, and Lake James State Park. Hike any one of the nearby hiking trails during the day then stop by the Linville Fall Winery on your way back to the cabin. The Linville Falls Golf Course is also across the road from this gated community. Less than 30 minutes away, explore the local shops, restaurants, and breweries in downtown Marion. If you're looking to enjoy some nightlife, check out Marion's Mica Town Brewing Company, and Spillway Bridge & Co. The Biltmore Estate, downtown Asheville, and Black Mountain are also within an hour's drive.

House Layout: Main Level- from the front porch you are welcomed into the open kitchen, dining room, and living room area; the living room has a beautiful rock fireplace with gas logs and a TV for streaming options only (no cable or satellite); dining table seats 6 with extra seating around the kitchen island; bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed and a full bath. Upstairs- bedroom with a queen bed, TV, and a full bath (shower only, no tub); loft with queen bed. Outdoors- covered front porch, which wraps around to the back of the house; covered back porch with a picnic table; deck; charcoal grill (charcoal not provided); fire pit.

Please note: There is an unfinished basement, where the washer and dryer can be used.

The cabin had a great view and exactly what you think of when wanting a mountain getaway. I was a bit bummed to find out that it lacked a handful of basic things such as having a coffee maker but no filters. The deck was amazing to relax after hiking and exploring all day. I was a bit confused that we paid a $130 cleaning fee and were asked to strip the beds, take out the trash and do a handful of cleaning responsibilities.

Our homes are outfitted with basic items such as kitchen appliances and utensils along with a complimentary amenity starter kit, but our homes are not all-inclusive, and we encourage guests to bring or purchase their own coffee/coffee filters, trash bags, and toiletry items. Regarding the check-out procedures you mentioned, these are certainly not required of our guests and are more of a courtesy to our housekeepers. We appreciate you sharing your valuable and honest feedback with us, and we hope that we'll get the chance to host you again when you return to the Asheville area!

Rustic environment with gorgeous views! Furniture was nice and décor was very attractive. Limited supplies compared to Marriott Bonvoy homes we have stayed in recently.

Perfect, Cozy Cabin with Gorgeous View!

This cabin was even better than I imagined. I loved everything about it. It feels rustic and cozy, and was super clean and well cared for. It was the perfect peaceful, secluded place I was hoping for. I could sit out on the back porch and stare at that beautiful view all day. It was well stocked with plenty of towels and toiletries. We even had great phone service. We had a magical stay - this cabin exceed expectations. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

The company is extremely communicative and helpful. The property is very easy to get to and labeled very well on the inside. It’s rare that we have stayed in a property with this amazing view! It is a relatively remote property, so I would recommend bringing you everything that you need to work in the kitchen that is not listed in their listing. If they improved the mattresses in both bedrooms, this property would have received the highest rating possible! The view consists of many deciduous trees, so I bet it’s beautiful in the fall!

The accomodations were excellent, and, of course, you can't begin to say enough about the view. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the home, and the area surrounding it.

When we arrived the cabin was in perfect condition. The views from the deck and the windows facing the valley were amazing. The Greybeard staff kept in contact with phone calls, text messages and emails. Though I didn't speak to anyone the communication was appreciated. Checking in and out was well explained and very easy. Greybeard customer service was great and they made everything easy for a relaxing long weekend. I don't normal take the time to leave reviews but our experience was so good that I decide to write one. I will use Greybeard rentals on next getaway to the mountains.

Our cabin was perfect for us! It was clean and stocked with games. The view was incredible and we loved the outdoor fire table.

Literally everything but somewhat spotty internet and practically non existent TV. (which I suppose is not the end of the world for a vacation)

The house felt cozy, great views, close to great hiking, the great attention to any of our needs by Greybeard Rentals and a chance to just be with family having unplanned fun times.

Being in the mountains. Such gorgeous views from the cabin decks, and great location near so many wonderful hikes. Forget Me Not was the perfect place to start and end each day.

This place was awesome. Great view. Little circle driveway makes loading and unloading very easy. Porches on front, side and back of house. Interior is cozy and truly warm. It was very enjoyable to stay there. What a cabin should be.

We loved this cabin, high on top of the mountain, very much. It was clean, stocked with games, and offered the perfect location for a romantic getaway! We loved it so much that we plan to buy a cabin in the area.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Forget Me Not is located within the gated community of Linville Mountain Acres in Marion. This home is approximately 26 minutes to downtown Marion, 45 minutes to Black Mountain, and approximately 1 hour to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Forget Me Not is not “pet friendly”. Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

You will receive check-in instructions prior to your arrival with driving directions and key access information. You do not need to stop by our office to pick up your keys. You will go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE?

This home is equipped with a fire pit. Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have a small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store.

Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
