Perfect for honeymooners, singles, or a small family, Country Cottage Getaway is tucked away from the lights and sounds of the city, but only 15 minutes to downtown Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, and the Asheville Outlets. Venture out to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway or take a relaxing river ride down the French Broad with Zen Tubing, both just 10 minutes from the cottage. After a day full of adventure, spend your evenings stargazing out on the covered back deck by the fire table or roasting smores around the outdoor fire pit.

House Layout: One-level living- Kitchenette with a small refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, and apartment-size stove; Living room with Smart TV; Bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath (shower only); Compact desk space for working remotely. Outdoors- Covered deck with bar seating and fire table; Porch with gas grill; Outdoor fire pit; Cornhole and horseshoes.

Quiet, private, cozy, great location

Overall

We stayed here for our yearly anniversary trip. It was perfect for us and our dog. It was very clean when we checked in. They gave a nice bag with things like soap and trash bags. I paid the extra for the flowers arrangement and it was even better than expected. Everything needed to cook was there. The fridge is a smaller size but had plenty of room for what we needed. There are two nice porches in the front and back to relax on. A grill in the front and a gas fire table in the back. There’s also a fire pit on the one side and chopped wood available which we got a lot of use out of. The cabin is about 30 min from popular spots to visit like down town Asheville, lake Julian, chimney rock and plenty of other hiking trails. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for an active and/or relaxing getaway close to nature

Overall

First impression was how clean everything was. The back porch was the perfect spot to relax. We enjoy being nustled in the woods but a quick drive into town. Will definitely be coming back soon!

we had to cut it short but we liked it

Overall

It was raining everyday so we weren't able to enjoy the outside as much as we would like and we had to cut our trip short (nothing to do with the cottage or greybeard.) Had we been able to stay the full time and less rain we would have loved it. Definitely recommend.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Country Cottage. It is very peaceful and in an ideal location in the south Asheville area. The cottage is very clean and the pictures are very accurate. Greybeard Realty was very responsive to a minor issue. We would recommend this lodging.

This was a very relaxing trip. The cottage was comfortable for the 2 of us and our dog. It was out of the way but still convenient to restaurants. We were there playing in a tennis tourntament so the only thing we missed was a washer and dryer.

Great and secluded space just a few minutes from downtown (feels like you are much further into the mountains! ). Try Biscuit Head for some great southern breakfast food.

Fantastic little cabin for a few nights in asheville or exploring the moutains. About 20 minutes from downtown. Easy driving to hiking. Small but clean and perfect for 1 or 2 people. Very peaceful location. Watch out coming in to the cabin to follow their directions as the turn from the other direction is too tight.

This little cabin in the woods far exceeded my expectations. It's quiet, safe, and secluded with a private gate, but also very close to everything you will want to do in and around Asheville. There are turkeys and a horse on the property and we loved sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the cool mountain morning. And it's pet friendly which is the best part of all. Very clean, tidy, and organized and fitted with everything you need. Can't wait to come back and stay here again! Thank you!

Great little hidden cottage away from the traffic and crowds of downtown. Close to great restaurants, antique stores and downtown Asheville. Very cozy and well appointed. Wonderful touches like a dual control electric blanket and the large Keurig! Felt extremely safe with the gate. Picturesque views, especially the horses in the snow! Lovely cottage!

Was a really remote place to stay that is in distance to downtown Asheville and all hikes. Was a fantastic stay for my girlfriend and I as well as our dog.

Great place! We were able to Uber into Asheville. We also had a great hike and stay. We were a little annoyed at paying a cleaning fee and then having to take apart the beds and such.

Our cabin was nicely decorated, furnished, private and clean. We especially enjoyed the firepit in the side yard.

Cozy cabin getaway for two! Close proximity (quick drive) to downtown Asheville and Biltmore Estate. Check in was super easy, small space was very clean. The gas grill and fire pit are nice touches to make a relaxing weekend complete.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Country Cottage Getaway is located in Fairview. This home is approximately a 20-minute drive to Black Mountain, and a 25-minute to Asheville, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

This property offers a flexible cancellation policy that differs from the standard cancellation policy. The policy for this home is the moderate policy. The terms of the policy are as stated: Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive 100% refund. Bookings canceled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive 50% refund.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Country Cottage Getaway is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Country Cottage Getaway has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and select option 1, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE?

This home provides an outdoor fire pit. Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses may have a small leftover supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store. Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Country Cottage Getaway. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
