Enjoy cool mountain breezes while rocking on the front porch of this 1950s Montreat family home. Bit O' Heaven has mobility-friendly access from the level rear parking area, making it ideal for people of all ages. Families and groups will enjoy modern conveniences, including central air conditioning and open living space. This home is just a short walk to the Conference Center, recreation facilities, and the creek to enjoy "rock hopping." It is only a 5-minute drive from the grocery store, shops, and restaurants in downtown Black Mountain.

HOUSE LAYOUT:
Main Level- Living room with queen sleeper sofa, kitchen, dining area. Bedroom with queen bed and full bath (shower only), bedroom with two twins, Jack-and-Jill bathroom with shower and tub, and bedroom with twin/full bunk bed.
Downstairs- Bedroom with two twins, half bath. Linens are NOT provided but are available to rent from Greybeard Rentals.

PLEASE NOTE: The fireplace is not usable.

Overall

The house was very nice and clean. The proximity to the playground and Lake Susan made it very easy for entertaining the children. The only problem was the parking area. Easy to get into but difficult to leave. However, access to parking across the street really helped.

Overall

This is a great location for any conference! Mostly flat, short walk to Anderson. Huge front porch with rockers looking past tennis courts. Great "old school cottage" feel with modern amenities.

The house has all the charm of a Montreat cottage with a/c which was a HUGE gift this past week. The front porch with its rocking chairs and hammock is a great place to catch up with friends and soak up creation.

House is great for our group and convenient to al the youth conference activities. Graybeard makes everything easy.

I brought a youth group to stay for the Montreat Youth Conference, and it's a perfect house for up to 11 people (9 comfortably) to stay! The location is within easy walking distance of the center of town. The amenities are all provided, and the rental agency is great to work with. I've even stayed here with my wife during vacation, and the views from the front porch and sound of the nearby river make mornings and evenings a refreshing time to find peace in nature. Highly recommend!

We called the rental company midweek due to a mouse spotted in the home, a few bugs, and also an issue with the oven. The ice maker was also broken upon our arrival but quickly fixed. All of these issues were addressed in a very timely and professional manner for which we are thankful.

It was a sweet place to stay that accommodated our little close group of 10 well (with the addition of a few air mattresses). It was a bit \"stuffed\" and could use a good thinning out of furniture, kitchen stuff, etc. but overall very cozy. The only must do item I can think of is to really make a third shower in the would have been SO SO helpful! also, do the repair to the mold damage in the \"master bathroom\" both along the upper wall close to the chimney, I'm sure and also replace the tiles above the shower and install a fan to help with future moisture issues.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Bit O'Heaven is located in Montreat. This home is approximately 10 minutes to Black Mountain and 30 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance . Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Bit O'Heaven is not “pet friendly”. Please be respectful of those owners who, because of allergies or other personal reasons, have chosen not to allow any pets. If housekeeping notes that a pet was present on a non-pet friendly property during your visit, you will be charged a minimum of $600 to clean carpets, upholstered furniture and complete air purification measures. Bringing a pet to a house that is not pet-friendly without owner consent or permission from Greybeard is grounds for termination of the rental agreement without refund. If you must travel with your pet, please contact us for local boarding recommendations. More info about service animals and the ADA is available here.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival. Early check-in is not available during the summer conference season.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

You will pick up keys from our Black Mountain office, located at 204 East State Street. Keys will be available starting at 4:00 pm. If you are arriving after hours, you will receive instructions on how to access the safe on our front porch. There will be an envelope with your name and house name at the top. Your keys and driving directions will be inside the envelope.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

IS THERE A FIRE PIT AT THIS HOUSE?

This house does not provide a firepit. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Bit O'Heaven. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
