  • Holiday Art Market & Pop-Up Sale: Hosted by Open Hearts Art Center (217 Coxe Ave) and taking place on Saturday, November 18 from 1-6 PM, this annual market is perfect for that one-of-a-kind holiday gift.  Enjoy a fantastical selection of original artwork, ornaments, ceramics, ugly holiday sweaters, jewelry, and so much more, handmade with love by Asheville artists. The Asheville Holiday Parade is also happening downtown on November 18 so you can make a whole day of it!

  • Show & Tell Holiday Pop-Up Shop: Hosted in the Ideation Lab inside the Center for Craft in Downtown Asheville, this curated pop-up retail holiday store will showcase over 100 vendors and run from Monday, November 27 to Sunday, December 24. There’s no better place to support local + indie craft, design, and vintage and shop housewares, handmade jewelry, ceramics, apparel, vintage clothes, ornaments, candles, gifts for our furry friends, and more. With a wide collection of items, you’re sure to find a gift for everyone on your list!

  • Winter Wonderland Glass Market: Hosted by the NC Glass Center (104 Roberts St) and taking place Friday, November 24-Saturday, December 29 from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, you can expect hundreds of blown glass ornaments, Christmas trees, and rabbis to bring that winter joy to your home and the homes of those you love. There will also be a special Night Market with hot beverages on Saturday, November 29th from 5-8 pm.  

  • Marshall Handmade Market: Hosted at Marshall High Studios (housed in a 1920s two-story brick high school on a little island in the French Broad River) from 10 AM-5 PM on Saturday, November 18 & Sunday, November 19,  this market is filled with some of the best makers in the region, and the resident artists open the doors of their classrooms-turned-studios to visitors. In addition to the handmade goods, there will be coffee, local artisan pastries, and delicious food from one of Asheville’s favorite food trucks. You’ll even find a musician or two and plenty of seating on the generous back deck. This is a local and visitor favorite market that is not to be missed!

  • Mingle & Jingle Holiday Craft MarketThe 7th annual Holiday Mingle & Jingle market will be held on Saturday, December 23 (10:00 AM-3:00 PM) at The Grey Eagle (185 Clingman Ave). Local vendors will be set up selling handmade goods, arts, and crafts so you can pick up the perfect holiday gift before grabbing a bite from their in-house Taqueria and a drink from the bar. There will also be some classic holiday tunes playing while you walk through. 

  • Merry Makers Market: Hosted by Show + Tell at Atelier Maison & Co. on Saturday, December 16 from 12-5 PM, this beloved holiday pop-up will feature housewares, vintage pieces, original art, handmade craft, fair trade imports, and more! Support local + small this holiday season. Free and open to the public. Dogs are welcome! 

  • The Big Crafty: Held twice annually in the heart of Asheville at Harrah's Cherokee Center on Saturday, December 2 & Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 12-6:00 PM. Voted Best Arts & Crafts Fair by Mountain Xpress every year since they began in 2008, this heartfelt community tradition brings together an eclectic array of talented backyard artists, juried prize-winners, and those who delight in them. 

  • Refraction Holiday Art Market: Wedge Brewing at Foundation on Sunday, December 10 2023 from 12-6:00 PM. Refraction is a curated art market dedicated to the vibrant artistic energy that Asheville’s River Arts District was born of. This market will take place at the Wedge, the arts district’s original brewery, and will showcase highly skilled artists who are at the heart of the Wedge and the River Arts District community. You'll find everything from Raku-fired ceramics to linocut prints to glass-blown wonders!

  • 3rd Annual Holiday Bazaar at Salvage Station: Tis the season to eat, drink & shop local and this unique Holiday Bazaar! Scheduled for Sunday, December 3 (12-5:00 PM), there will be over 30 vendors with beautiful crafts, art, and unique vintage finds, Root Down will be serving up their delicious twist on Southern Soul food, and their FULL bar will be open to enjoy! Salvage Station is also partnering with BeLoved Asheville and will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items, lightly used coats & blankets and new toys. Bring what you can to help spread the love and joy you have in your heart this holiday season! There will also be a raffle on an amazing basket filled with vendor goodies, so be sure to enter and know that all raffle money will go directly to BeLoved Asheville.

  • Holiday Sip & ShopHappening Friday, December 8, and Saturday, December 9 from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM at the Historic Grovewood Village Gallery, this annual market will feature artist demonstrations and complimentary wine and warm cider. Enjoy 10 percent off select merchandise in the gallery, and shop for unique gift items handmade by Asheville artists and beyond. Grovewood Gallery showcases over 9,000 square feet of finely crafted jewelry, wooden bowls and utensils, ceramic tableware, blown glass, fiber art, and much more!

  • Holiday Seconds SaleHosted by the Southern Highland Craft Guild and happening on Saturday, December 2, and again on Saturday, December 9 from 10 AM-4 PM, the Folk Art Center's inventory will be discounted between 10-50% off its original retail price! Choose from a variety of gift items including ceramics, jewelry, fiber, apparel, paper, glass & wood. This sale is an opportunity for member artisans to cycle out the remaining designs of the year at this market, so they can begin the new year with a fresh start.

  • Christkindlmarkt at Guidon Brewing Co: The 5th annual Christmas market at the American/German ex-military family-owned brewery and taproom in Hendersonville will have local vendors, live music, food, drink, a cookie contest, and more. Scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 9 (12-6:00 PM)you're sure to be filled with holiday cheer and Gemütlichkeit!

  • Morganton Holiday Market: On Saturday, November 18 and again on Saturday, December 9 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, this small town will host its annual holiday market located at 111 North Green Street, at the corner of Green Street and Avery Avenue, will include fresh vegetables, delicious baked goods, and adorable local crafts.

  • Winter Glow Night MarketHappening Friday, December 1 (4:00-7:00 PM), The Big Room Studios at Pink Dog Creative (Suite 101 at 344 Depot Street) is transforming into a glimmering night market. Enjoy winter beverages and treats while exploring artist studios illuminated with the warm glow of festive lights. Artists will be present in their studios with handmade ornaments, stocking stuffers, small and large original art and prints, jewelry, and scarves. Interactive art activities will be set up throughout The Big Room Studios.

  • Handmade Holidays at BMCA: Hosted by the Black Mountain Center for the Arts and happening Monday, November 27- Friday, December 15 from 10 AM to 5 PM (Monday-Friday), this craft market will have local pottery, handmade ornaments, and more. Be sure to stop by during Black Mountain’s Holly Jolly celebration for some extra sweet treats!

  • Holiday Card Print Making: Hosted by FernQueen and taking place at Ginger's Revenge Riverside Taproom on Thursday, December 7 from 4-6 PM, you're invited to refresh yourself with friends and learn a new art form. This unique class will focus on relief printmaking techniques, and each student will create their very own original block and print it on cards to send out as holiday gifts.
