Asheville's 19th Annual Mardi Gras Parade will take place downtown on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 3:05-5:05 PM. Featuring colorful floats, lively music, and costumed performers, this zany, exuberant, and irreverent event is a gift to the city to shake off those dead of winter blues. Spectators line the streets of the South Slope to catch beads, trinkets, and other "throws" while local businesses along the route join in the celebration by offering food and drink specials and live music.
This beloved and always colorful event is designed for all ages to enjoy. All members of Asheville Mardi Gras who want to march are welcome to join in as long as you dress up, show up, and bring candy or beads to throw to parade attendees. This year's Mardi Gras event theme is "Life is A Carnival," so get ready for a fair amount of fun and thrills!
