The Carolina Mountain Cheese Festival returns to Oak & Grist Distilling Company in Black Mountain on Sunday, September 28, 2025. The beloved event features the craft of cheese-making from the farm to the dinner table, and also plenty of opportunities to purchase local cheese! Expect cheese-centered workshops, cheese pairings, demonstrations, and family-friendly fun (including adorable baby animals).
The festival's proceeds benefit the Western North Carolina Cheese Trail and its mission to "promote the production and sale of WNC artisan cheeses, facilitate consumer education, and encourage tourism to the region to benefit member producers."
