Ideal for a family retreat or reunion with friends, this luxury log cabin offers plenty of space, style, and splendor to ensure a getaway that’s truly out-of-this-world!

Centrally located to all that Western North Carolina has to offer in way of attractions and activities, you can easily travel to town for entertainment or stay close to home for Gateway Mountain’s exclusive amenities & 3,000 acre nature preserve. Enjoy access to lush wooded forests, gorgeous waterfalls, and stunning mountaintop vistas along with two small lakes and a trout pond for catch-and-release fishing (no license required). Gateway Mountain is just 10 miles from I-40, offering easy access to the city of Asheville (33 miles away) where you’ll find the hip & ever-eccentric River Arts District and Biltmore Village, home to the iconic Biltmore Estate. The resort town of Black Mountain, 17 miles away, offers novelty shops, upscale boutiques, art galleries, regional breweries, and local restaurants while the small neighboring town of Marion, 20 miles away, has even more options for food, drinks, and entertainment. For an additional hike outside of Gateway, travel 12 miles to the beloved Catawba Falls trail. Perfect for the whole family, this 2.5 miles round trip trek takes you to a cascading waterfall with multiple tiers of water rushing over vibrant green moss. It’s a breathtaking sight that is a must for waterfall enthusiasts.

A scenic 45 minute drive south takes you to Lake Lure, where there’s no shortage of family-fun activities. In addition to a swimming beach, there’s a water park, twilight dinner cruises, boat tours, and boat rentals (paddle and pontoon). After enjoying time by the water, head over to Chimney Rock, Mount Pisgah, or Mount Mitchell State Parks that are also nearby, or take advantage of the golf courses in one of the beautiful towns mentioned above. Continue south for another 35 minutes to find the charming town of Hendersonville and the historic Flat Rock Playhouse.
