Views, views views! You will love waking up to the views this home has to offer. The home overlooks the Reems Creek Valley. The front of the home is lined with sliding glass doors that allow you to take in the view while relaxing inside or for easy access to the expansive deck! Watch the fog roll out and the blue ridge colors change while drinking your morning coffee. The home is unique, as it was built in the 70's off the grid! Over the years the home has been upgraded with modern amenities.

The main level of the home includes a large great room, dining, space, kitchen, and king bedroom with a private deck and bath, half bath, and laundry. The upper level of the home offers a loft space with a single day bed, king bedroom, and bathroom. The lower level of the home offers a separate living space perfect for kids or privacy, a queen bedroom, a beautiful bath, and a deck with the same gorgeous views! Plenty of parking for up to 4 cars. Our home offers a fire pit for your enjoyment. Wildlife sightings are common - turkeys, foxes, hawks, bears, and more! You'll get to enjoy the private views from the home while conveniently being 3 miles from the shopping, restaurants, and entertainment of Downtown Weaverville as well as only 8 miles from Downtown Asheville! Wolf Ridge Ski Resort is only 30 minutes away. Groceries and restaurants are less than 1 mile away.

House Layout:
Main floor: Living room with wood fireplace and Smart TV (streaming and cable available); Dining table seats 6 and kitchen island seats 3; Bedroom with a king bed and full bath; Half bath.
Upper level: Loft with seating area; Bedroom with a king, twin daybed, and full bath.
Lower level: Den with Smart TV (streaming only); Bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath (shower only, no tub).
Outdoors: Upper-level deck with patio furniture and rocking chairs; private deck off master bedroom; lower level deck; outdoor fire pit.

Please note: The home was recently repainted in dark gray. For security reasons, there is an OUTDOOR security camera at the corner of the home.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin. We are an extended family (2 families with 1 child and grandmother), and the set up was perfect with 3 full suites essentially. Cabin was in a great location outside of Asheville, but close enough to easily enjoy all of the amenities. Easy to access, not too far up a mountain, but still giving amazing views overlooking the mountains and valley. Everything we needed was provided for us - anything we even mentioned was there. We were able to cook a whole Christmas dinner easily with the provided kitchen equipment. Fireplace was beautiful, there was tons of firewood provided. We really appreciated that it was decorated for the holidays too - had a beautiful Christmas tree. We didn't use it, but there was a pack and play provided.it truly was lovely and had everything we needed. It was also very clean, which was great for our 2 toddlers who are constantly on the floor. Highly recommend!

Overall

We stayed at Hudson’s Peak for our son’s wedding and it was the perfect spot. Around 15 minutes to each place we needed to be all weekend. The house had everything we needed and the view was gorgeous. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay

Overall

The cabin was clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed and liked the location. We had one small issue with the key pad not locking and it was quickly fixed with a battery replacement the next day (on a Saturday). We will definitely consider this cabin (and Greybeard Rentals) for any future Ashville stays.

We had a great time at the Hudson Peak house on Leisure Mt for a week with our two daughters and husbands. The house was a perfect location with excellent Mountain View’s and easy quick access (10-15 min) to Asheville locations. House equipped with everything you need!

This home has everything. The mountain views all day and lights below at night are wonderful. Definitely get up early to see the morning view! Loved the layout of the home - everyone had their own space and could have quiet when they wanted. Bathrooms are perfect - beds comfortable- plenty of pillows and blankets. The family room is comfortable and had plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed. Parking is good but it could be tight if you have more than 2 cars. Very important - do not use GPS even if it appears to be working. The rental instructions warn you that GPS is not reliable. We trusted GPS but it took us up a different way that no car is expected to go. Trust their directions! Great home in every way!

Quiet, cozy home with great views perfect for relaxing. We live only a few miles up Reem Creek Road but needed a rental to keep our twin 3 year old grandsons while their parents took a couples getaway trip. With our house in the middle of a remodel, we took advantage of this rental and made it our home for 5 days.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hudsons peak. It was very clean and organized. The porch and views were amazing. A cold front came in while we were there so we made good use of the fire pit. It was pretty close to everything we were interested in doing. My family really enjoyed it. We will definitely consider this house again in the future.

The location of Hudson's Peak can't be beat - only 15 minutes to downtown Asheville while still being close to the mountains! The house itself is fully equipped for a weekend stay or longer, and we were continually impressed by how well stocked the kitchen was and how comfortable the beds were. The house is great for a family, providing plenty of space for folks to spread out while still having a good spot to be comfortable in the living room. The fireplace options were great, too, with the ability to take your pick from the indoor fireplace, a fire pit on the deck, or a third lower down. Greybeard was super responsive when we had any questions or needed some more firewood, which made the whole process really easy. Highly recommended!

This house is a gem. Spectacular views and a very comfortable, practical space. The fireplace was used every day and added to the cozy feel. The location is fantastic. It's secluded but also very close to everything you need. Ingles is a great grocery store with many options at the base of the mountain. Also, Weaverville is minutes away with many great restaurants and art shops. Overall, this place is an outstanding value. Check in and out were super simple. We always received quick responses from the host when questions came up. Highly recommended!

The location, beautiful views and comfort of the home while exploring Asheville and the surrounding areas. The online pictures of the inside and outside of the home don't do it justice - it was so much more beautiful and spacious! Nice appliances. Spacious. The fire was a nice addition and was used every night. The bedding was so nice and comfortable!

The vista from the rental was unmatched. We picked the perfect time to travel to the Asheville area...weather couldn't have been better. The rental was roomy, plenty of space to congregate or have some alone time.

My family and I rented Hudson's Peak last week. It was perfect. The view of the valley and mountains was breathtaking. Watching the sun set and the fireflies at dusk from the deck was our favorite. The house was so comfortable and cozy. We can't wait to rent it again soon.

FAQs

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Hudson's Peak on Leisure Mountain is located in Weaverville. This home is approximately 8 minutes to Weaverville, and approximately 15 minutes to Asheville. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Hudson's Peak has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and dial extension 203, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WILL THERE BE FIREWOOD AT THE HOUSE? WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Firewood is not supplied by Greybeard. Some houses will have small supply of firewood for renter use; however, it is best to purchase your own small bundle of wood or Duraflame pressed logs at the local grocery store

Cutting branches, limbs or trees on the property is strictly prohibited. You can use limbs found on the ground. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Hudson's Peak. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
