Hydrangea Haus is a charming restored cottage that boasts an unparalleled location to soak in two of the area's most desirable features: tree-covered mountain ranges towering over the rippling water of Lake James! Enter into an updated kitchen with breakfast bar-style seating for 2 and continue into the open-concept dining and living area where everyone can claim their favorite spot. Also on the main floor is a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a full bathroom with hallway access. The lower level offers a second living area, patio access below the covered deck, and a bedroom with a queen-size bed.

The garage can also be accessed from the lower level and is only available for the use of the washer and dryer; please be respectful of the remaining space. Thoughtful touches abound throughout the upper level of the home with two bedrooms and a bathroom with hallway access (bathtub, sink, and toilet only). The first bedroom offers a king-size bed and a balcony overlooking the lake, and the second bedroom offers a full-size bed and a standard crib. In the second bedroom, the smallest traveler in your group can rest easy with blackout curtains and an additional supplementary blackout shade.

Located just 1 hour from Asheville in Nebo, this cozy lakefront home is the perfect place to get away and enjoy everything the Lake James area has to offer. Spend your days exploring nearby hiking trails like the Fonta Flora Loop in Lake James State Park or High Shoal Falls in South Mountains State Park before grabbing a refreshing craft beer at Fonta Flora’s open-air brewery at Whippoorwill Farm approximately 10 minutes away. Craving a burger on your back to your lakefront home away from home? Bones Jones Burgers and Butchery is just 15 minutes away!

Please note: This property does not allow pets. There are 3 exterior security cameras. There are several books, toys, and a high chair to accommodate young families. Due to the unique A-frame roof line, the upper-level bathroom has a bathtub only; there is a tub-shower combination on the main floor. This home offers a private dock on Lake James along with a standup paddleboard, a ladder off the dock for swimming, floats, and life jackets that can be found in the garage.
