Romantic and cozy, Celia's Cottage is the ultimate getaway for couples. This cottage was built by hand in 1922 and still retains the original logs both inside and out, but has been extensively remodeled to offer guests modern amenities, like WiFi, cable TV, and air conditioning. The cottage is less than 10 minutes to downtown Asheville, where you can explore award winning restaurants, craft breweries, and stores featuring local artisans. Uber and Lyft are available to take you to downtown or other nearby attractions. Hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway is right outside your door- only 125 ft to the start of the Mountain to Sea trail. Also convenient to the Biltmore Estate, which is an easy 10 minute drive. Chimney Rock and Lake Lure are 35 minutes south of the cottage. Reconnect, relax, and enjoy everything the Blue Ridge Mountains and Asheville has to offer. This is a place where great memories will be made. House Layout: Living room with TV and mini split; full kitchen with coffeemaker and table for 2; bedroom with queen bed; full bathroom. Large backyard with trail leading to Blue Ridge Parkway. Celia's Cottage is pet friendly with an additional pet fee. Please note: Celia's Retreat is located just across the driveway and also available for rent for larger groups.

Super close to The Biltmore and Downtown. Great hiking only 30-90min away.

What a great cottage! It was in the perfect location to get anywhere in Asheville in 15 minutes. We were also visiting family in Hickory and the cottage had easy access to the highway. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and it really makes it feel like an oasis.

Such a special property! Well taken care of and great proximity to downtown Asheville. Pet friendly with lots of space to run. We will definitely be returning.

Cute cabin in a great location. Just 10 minutes from downtown Asheville and the Biltmore. Had everything you needed. The WiFi wasn't great, but we came for mountain views and relaxing. Perfect for that.

This was a nice little cabin in the woods but only a few miles from restaurants and shops. We loved that a trailhead to the Mountain to Sea trail and path to the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center was right in the backyard. Enjoy.

The cottage was quaint and clean and had everything we needed for a great visit. We loved the easy access to trails behind the property. If you plan on calling an Uber/Lyft be ready to help with directions, this wasn't a big issue but just a heads-up. Loved the location!

Their was a bit of a glitch upon arrival at the shown property preventing us from staying their. When I contacted Greybeard via their after hours line--- they went above and beyond finding us another fantastic cottage. Amazing people, amazing place and I would definately go through Greybeard again!!!

We loved the cabin, the front porch and the property. Perfect for us and our dogs. Very quaint and rustic, and neat as a pin. The trail from the back was a bonus for our dogs to hike each morning. Would definitely return to this cabin when we return to Asheville.

A group of 5 couples, one child, and 3 dogs stayed here over Labor Day weekend 2018 for a soccer tournament. This is our second year in Celia's Retreat and our first year in Celia's Cottage. It is so comfortable and beautiful here. There is enough room for everyone to be comfortable. The property is beautiful and the yard is great for the dogs to run around in. I took them to a local dog park, but they actually preferred to play in the yard. The staff is very responsive to any requests you may have and they easily accommodated us adding an additional night. Location allows for peace and quiet, but you can quickly ride downtown by car or Lyft.

Charming stay for 2 people for a long weekend, location is a 10. Less than 10mins from all Asheville highlights and access to your own trail head in the yard. Giant fenced in dog area made this stay super convenient.

I absolutely loved this cabin! Great location right outside of town but you still felt like you were away from it all. The property was super clean and was the perfect fit.

My wife an I came up with our infant and golden retriever. The location of this rental immediately off the parkway and less than 15minutes from Asheville could not be more ideal! This amazing little cabin is situated on a beautiful piece of property our fur baby absolutely loved! I highly recommend this cabin and Greybeard rentals!

A great little comfortable place. The cabin is rustic and makes you feel like you stepped back in the days of your kin folk. Very comfortable for my wife and myself . The front porch was great. It was an easy drive to town.
The Mountain to Sea hiking trail just behind the cabin allows for a place to stretch your legs and get the blood flowing after an afternoon nap. We will look forward to staying there again.

The cabin was very cozy and in an ideal location. I brought my dog with me, and he loved exploring the neighboring National Park Service property. The location was convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway, I-40, and only minutes to downtown Asheville and Biltmore. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and fully intend to return to the same property next year.

Celia's Cottage was a last minute rental for us and probably the best choice we could have made. The location is only a 10 minute drive from down town and a couple minutes drive to Highland Brewing Co! The cottage is secluded which was nice since we also brought our dog and he was able to let off steam by running around! Overall it was clean, simple, and everything you could need since we practically just slept there.

Loved our stay at the cottage! It was the perfect size for my boyfriend and I. Our favorite part was sitting on the front porch each night to enjoy the weather. The bed was super comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The cottage is so close to downtown Asheville and super easy to get to which was a huge plus!

This was the most adorable cabin. It was very secluded but it only took minutes to get into downtown Asheville. The road up to it is quite steep but our conversion van did just fine. There is a trail right outside the back door and our dogs loved to explore. We will definitely go back!

Celia's Cottage was the perfect getaway for my husband and me to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We love to hike, and the cottage's close proximety to the Mountain to Sea Trail (accessible from the backyard) was ideal! We were also close to town, so we felt away from it all without being away from it all!

We really enjoyed our stay at Celia's Cottage. There was enough room for two and a dog inside. It was clean and quaint with a real cottage feel. The front porch was nice in the morning for coffee and relaxation. The added bonus to us was the property providing adequate space for my Black Lab to run around and fetch sticks. The link to a small parkway trail behind the house was also a nice feature for a half hour hike in the morning or late afternoon.

My wife and I loved it very much, the fresh air, foliage and hiking was just what we needed. And our dog Ari misses the cooler weather, he had a lot of fun running around the property and going on hikes.

Our family had a wedding at the Celia Retreat. We blended the 2 families and rented the cottage as well so everyone in the immediate family could stay on site. We were there for 5 glorious days. The grounds were perfect and beyond our expectations. There is a lovely hiking trail that was enjoyed by all directly behind the property. We played games, ate and had a beautiful wedding.
It is conveniently located close to downtown Asheville, the Biltmore and many often sought entertainment venues.

FAQs

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Celia's Cottage is located in Asheville. This home is approximately a 10-minute drive to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Celia's Cottage is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash. 

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Celia's Cottage has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and select option 1, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

IS THERE AN OUTDOOR FIRE PIT? 

This home does not provide an outdoor fire pit. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit, and you cannot bring your own portable fire pit. 

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Celia's Cottage. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
