Located 5 minutes from downtown Black Mountain and 15 minutes from Asheville, you'll enjoy the privacy of mature trees and foliage with long-range, mountain views, and a convenient location. From the moment you place your suitcase down in the mudroom, you'll be greeted by impeccable decor and thoughtful furnishings. The chef in your group will marvel at the stainless steel appliances, gas range, and abundant counter space. Preparing meals at your mountain oasis will be a breeze in this well-equipped kitchen. Enjoy warm French Toast at the breakfast bar, or sip your morning coffee in the fully-enclosed sunroom with ample seating. The spacious deck, complete with an outdoor sofa, couples' rocking chair, and fire table, was built with memory-making in mind.

After stargazing and sharing highlights from the adventures of the day, make your way into the sleek and inviting living room to enjoy the first pages of a new book or the next episode of your favorite Netflix series. Not ready to fully unwind for the evening? Entertainment is the theme of the lower level of Grey Eagle Lodge. A large sectional and 85" T.V. provides the quintessential movie-room experience, with a game room only steps away in the attached garage. Whether selecting a family-favorite movie, challenging another guest to a game of ping-pong, or practicing your beanbag toss, everyone is sure to find a favorite activity.

House Layout: Main floor: Bedroom with daybed-style twin bed, twin trundle, and dedicated workspace, full bathroom (shower only), living room with gas logs fireplace, fully enclosed sunroom with access to the back deck, well-equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, gas range stove, and walk-in pantry, breakfast bar seating for 4, formal dining seating for 8. Upper level: Two bedrooms, both with queen beds, and a shared "Jack and Jill" style bathroom (traditional bathtub and shower), and a primary bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom (rainfall shower). Lower level: Laundry space, large sectional with 85" T.V. for streaming, card or craft table with kid-friendly games, and bedroom with full-size bunk beds and en suite bathroom (traditional bathtub and shower). Guests also have access to the garage, via the lower level, with a ping-pong table, corn hole boards, and a secondary outdoor space with 2 rocking chairs overlooking mature trees and a mountain-top view. Also found in the garage is a disc golf set that can be used on the community disc golf course.

Please note: This home is pet friendly with an additional pet fee per pet. For security reasons, this home is equipped with an EXTERIOR ring doorbell and a security camera mounted at the roofline that faces the driveway. As a guest at Grey Eagle Lodge, you can enjoy many of the amenities and facilities that the Christmount Community has to offer, including a Ball Field, Picnic Areas, Campfire Rings, Pickleball (indoor and outdoor), Shuffleboard, Cornhole, Sand Volleyball, Basketball, Gaga Ball, Kid's Playground, and more!

This house, home, is excellent. Larger than expected. Would be great to entertain many people. Great beds, kitchen is fantastic. Do not hesitate. No yard, but park for walking dogs very close.

WHERE IS THIS HOUSE LOCATED?

Grey Eagle Lodge is located within the Christmount Community, less than a 10-minute drive from downtown Black Mountain. It's approximately a 15-minute drive to Old Fort, a 25-minute drive to Asheville, and a 35-minute drive to Lake Lure & Chimney Rock. Click on the location tab above to locate this house on a map.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY?

If you need to cancel your reservation and the property you had reserved re-rents for the time which you had it reserved, you will be refunded all money you had paid minus an $89 cancellation fee. If you cancel and the property does not re-rent for your reserved dates, you will lose all money you have paid to that point. For this reason, we recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Please call 888-228-8008 before making a reservation if you have questions or concerns.

WHEN IS THE SECURITY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?

Security deposits are returned within 30 days of guest departure.

WHAT IS YOUR PET POLICY AND FEE?

Grey Eagle Lodge is specified as "pet friendly" and dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, due to common allergy problems we cannot allow cats. For the privilege of bringing your dog, there is a minimum charge of $100 nonrefundable fee per pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed unless you have received special permission from the property manager or homeowner. Any damage that may be caused by your pet during your stay will be paid for out of your security deposit or charged to the credit card we have on file. There is a county-wide leash law in place. When taking your dog outside of a gated area, please ensure that they are on a leash.

WHAT ARE CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT TIMES?

Check-in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. It is important that we adhere to these times, because there is a chance that someone else will be checking out/in before or after you and we need sufficient time to ready the house for the next renter. If you wish to check-in early, there is a $50 early check-in fee that can be added on to your reservation. Early check-in is only available if someone is not checking out on the morning of your arrival.

WHERE DO WE CHECK-IN/PICK UP KEYS?

Grey Eagle Lodge has a keyless entry system. You will receive a unique access code within 3 days of your arrival, allowing you to go straight to the house and check-in starting at 4pm.

WHAT IF THERE IS AN EMERGENCY DURING OUR STAY?

If you are having a medical emergency, dial 911 from the phone in your rental home or cell phone.

We hope that your stay in the area will be relaxing and without incident, but should you need to get in touch with Greybeard, we have someone on call 24 hours a day. Just call our office at 828-669-1072 and select option 1, which will forward to the cell phone of the person on call. Please do not hesitate to call us if something needs immediate attention, but if your question or concern can wait, we ask that you call the office during normal office hours.

WHEN ARE HOMES WITH GAS LOGS IN OPERATION?

Grey Eagle Lodge has an indoor gas logs fireplace. Gas logs are not in operation May through September due to the warmer summer months.

DOES THIS HOME HAVE A FIRE PIT?

Grey Eagle Lodge does not have a fire pit, but it does have an outdoor fire table to enjoy. Absolutely NO fires are permitted outside unless the property is fitted with a fire ring/fire pit. You cannot bring your own portable fire pit.

IS WIFI SERVICE INCLUDED WITH MY RENTAL RESERVATION? WILL I HAVE CELL PHONE SERVICE AT MY RENTAL?

Wifi is available at Grey Eagle Lodge. Please note that Greybeard Rentals does not guarantee internet connectivity or speed. Each individual homeowner contracts directly with an internet service provider, and due to a variety of reasons, Greybeard does not guarantee service. Our Black Mountain and Asheville offices have wifi service available if needed.

Cell phone service is not guaranteed. You may check with your service provider to see if service is available.
